No, the berry smoothie is the way forward. More like slush than those poncey yoghurt-based drinks. Lush.

New one just being built in Farnborough (in the IQ business park), should be open late June/early July.

Bosche Silver batteries cheapest place in the uk I think. Also keep the receipt as they come with a 5 year warranty and costco honour it straight swap for a 4 year old one the other day smile

Chicken Bake and a Vanilla frozen yoghurt. The challenge is finishing the scalding hot bake before the yoghurt melts. The reward for success is nursing the blisters on the roof of your mouth during the drive home.

We went with a friend who is a member the other day to asses if it was worth it.

I couldn't find anything that was that much cheaper than a supermarket.

We decided against it.

I'm not an expert, but my impression of their butchery is that the price per Kg is similar to 'good stuff' in the supermarket, but is generally of similar quality to a (very) good butcher.

So, no savings to be made, per se, but a good jump in quality compared to supermarket meat.

I'm a GIGANTIC fan of Costco for 'good stuff' and MAKRO for 'rubbish stuff'. Both have their place in my dream weekend. What a sad bd.

Comparing like for like? Ie not Heinz beans with supmarket own brand. IME prices are similar to supermarket offers at the most.

Its good if you can go with maybe 2 or three people and can break 10kg of mince or 5kg of steaks into 3 then the savings can be made.

I dont have a clue. I'm nor one for really comparing prices on things but I dont mind paying for quality.

The steaks are huge and nice and thick. A pack of 3 was just under £21 I think but they are leagues ahead of anything I have ever found in a supermarket.

Wife regularly gets frozen salmon fillets, says they are good, I wouldn't know as I don't eat salmon.

I've had a flyer from them offering 2 months free trial membership, and various vouchers including a fiver worth of meat and, bizarrely, 18 free eggs. Might give it a go.

I haven't been in for about 5 years but noted they were selling books of first class stamps at less than face value, don't know how that's possible.

Can't remember which is the main Costco thread but they have ditched that stty Craftsmen tool kit and replaced it with a very very very good Kirkland Signature one.

Sockets remind me a lot of Teng tools one!

£70 for the 154 pc kit.
