Thanks for the update ABD glad to see things are looking up for you.

It's my first Xmas on my own this year - not looking forward to it frown
Three years ago I was in the same position after she did a bunk on December 12th

I moved in with my new partner earlier this year while she got dumped by the bloke she ran off with and is now living in a mates' spare bedroom

Keep your chin up, keep busy doing things you want to do and remember that it WILL get better given time

ABD, great to hear your update. Just give yourself whatever time and space you feel you need and don't give in to trust issues and negativity - everybody's different biggrin

Lovely end to the thread.
You don't normally get 'after' updates so it nice to read that you are so much happier.
I think I speak for all of PH that I am also delighted that she wants to give it another go and you aren't interested.
Hear hear.

All the very best to you ABD!

A great update ABD, little bit of warmth just before Christmas!

Don't end the thread though, there are plenty of us here who would like the occasional check on your forward progress.

Thanks again for all the good wishes, it does feel good to be getting back to normal.

I'm in touch with a couple of the other posters who are in similar positions and they seem to be getting through things too which is good news.

I've really appreciated the contributions on the thread, even the combative ones as they gave me pause for thought. I'll drop in every now and again with updates - I may even change my screen name for next time.thumbup

Cheers

Maybe you could try to arrange or join in some Christmas hoons? Off, up and down some winding B-roads into the depths of the countryside - destination nice pub lunch and back in time for some 'quality' TV, a few sherries and then bed. Could be worse - you could be getting dragged round the shops every other day...

Yep keeping busy is the key me thinks.... Re: hoons I did manage some down time on a recent business trip to California so took the opportunity of a rd trip along the pacific coast highway in a 'rental'. Wrong thread I know but just goes to show life must go on smile

Good to see an update ABD.

I remember reading with interest when it all kicked off. Then I found myself in a very similar situation in September.

It's ste but not the end of the world. First Xmas without my kids coming up. But I'll get them Boxing Day so not a complete disaster.

Glad to hear it's looking up for you ABD.
