Some are common, some are rare. As with anything, the people who take it seriously tend to make a bit of a hierachy of styles/colourways etc.

I saw people on here asking how they should lace their brogues, we are all different and like different things smile

Any of the rest of you Adidas aficionados heard about a Spezial release of the Samba? I'm curious if there's any information about it out there. I hadn't heard rumours of the Dublin being rereleased in 2016, but then, I'm not as well up on the details as some people.

I am going through a mid life crisis, so bought a pair of Adidas Hamburgs.

I like them, nice neutral colour that can be dressed up or down.
Each to their own and all, but where the heck is 'down' from a pair of dowdy trainers? And how could anyone consider themselves 'dressed up' wearing them?

Don't get me wrong, I'd wear them to the pub.

Not heard of the Samba Spezials, Seen a few of the S/S16 range and a couple of decent looking ones, also heard that Manchesters are beng released as part of the A/W16 spezial range but we will see,

The Rivea are out in 2 colors in March and also 2 Size exclusive's of Munchen's I will be getting.

Heard Dublins are supposedly out again this year but tbh these rum ours go round most years.

I dunno man, I kinda meant they'd look good with smart jeans and a blazer on a night out, or just whatever.

I like them anyway so leave me alone! wink

Interesting, I like the detail; Goretex, red lace tips. Nice.

What are some good brands for entering the world of brogues?

I have a pair of Loake double monk straps (for my wedding) and a pair of £50 Oxfords brogues I got from Marks (shock horror) a couple of years back.

I want a pair of Derby brogues and looking to spend about £100 or so? Am I better off waiting for some Loakes in the sales or are there some good options a little cheaper?

Thanks in advance.

No affiliation etc, but the word is Duggers of London are well regarded at this price point.

Just leaving these here for those into the two tone brogue thing. Lovely pair of Cheaneys for £170 with code MYSALE

Fair bit in the sale to browse, just wish I wasn't as skint at the moment or I'd have the lot.

I'm feeling a bit partial to a pair of Adidas L.A Trainer. A nice summer trainer IMHO, maybe in a light red with grey.

Which is absolutely fine.

However, describing buying a pair of Adidas as a way into three stripe ownership is a bit rich, especially considering that you'd be hard pushed to find many people who haven't owned a pair of 'three stripes' at some point in their lives.

It's not like buying your first Ferrari is it smile
Indeed it isn't

For the shoe fans, I'll repost my new Church Eastcote from the previous page. VERY rare to find them in this colour! Must have been a limited run/special order.

Like the shoes, but not sure about posting pics without the laces in, they look a bit naked.
