I've a nice pair of Loake Chesters that need sending back for repair so made an impromptu visit to Crockett & Jones' factory shop this lunch time.

They didn't have a huge selection as I turned up pretty late before they closed at 1230 but the quality is very good. From any distance other than a few inches they all look magnificent although they do have minor marks. Honestly nothing you won't have after a week wearing them or with a bit of coloured polish so the saving is well worth it.

Anyway, here's today' little treat; C&J Hallam in an E fitting. £386 retail. £180 in the factory shop.

I'm going to try to find some nice waxed red laces to finish them off (any suggestions?)
It's a 200 pound mark up in the shop? I baulk at paying anything over £100 for shoes, think I've done it twice. biggrin

I also like Ted Baker shirts. biggrin

I imagine you have all missed my adidas trainers but been trying to cut back a little.

I did however get these in the sale the other week

Then I saw these on eBay and haven't seen this colour before so had a bid at them

He does indeed...like Addidas. biggrin

I used to have a lot of footwear, nothing like above but a lot, not planned I just tend to collect things, but I've made an effort to scaled down, took a load of footwear to the shoebank last week.

Had a look at detailsoho, they have Sendra to try on, a time to visit that London!

These are rejects, not fit for sale to general public.

They're supposedly skate shoes, but looked like they might be good for mountain biking (hnce no mesh on the toes) but in practice, although they work well with a decent flat pedal, the soles are too flexy, so they tire your feet out too quickly on rocky/rooty stuff. Nice for driving though.

Some new Sparco Racing Boots just arrive this morning, to replace my previous pair, which amazingly have lasted over 10 years of hard use in my various Caterhams.

Just like my previous pair of sparcos race boots, they have that lovely thin sole, which really helps with toe and heel in the tight Caterham pedal box area, but also the rounded base of the heel makes heel and toe work much easier!

Thanks, I had the decision to make this time, ie wether or not to go to a more neutral or plain colour, but then I thought - stuff it, driving Caterhams round tracks etc is all about having fun, so the brighter the better!

Of course I am waiting for the inevitable comments on here that they look like clown boots, or something along those lines, but that is par for the course on PH! winksmile

Just ordered these, Joseph Cheaney. My first pair of two tone brogues, will be interesting to see how they look IRL.
