do higher quality leather shoes scuff less than cheaper leather? I always think that the hallmark of cheaper shoes is raggedy leather, but i do realise that you also need to not bash them on things... easier said than done of course esp if worn every day for work.
In my experience rather the reverse. Maybe just murphy's law though, a bit like OEM alloys fine for two years then within a week of fitting fancy lightweight rims you kerb the f*ckers.I put a nasty rip in my cheaneys within a month of buying them.

So don't scuff them then!
I am, on my better days, allowed out of my padded room in to the world of 'sharp things'.Accidents can happen.
Nice shoes BTW

am i weird that i never used coloured polish? Surely it will never quite match and you'll end up with generic polish coloured shoes rather than the nice colour you bought in the first place..
Never had a problem with black on black, said the actress to the bishop.I use neutral polish on all my shoes by default.

I was reading about dark blue polish on black to give it an extra dimension
In certain lights dark blue can appear more black than black - hence dark blue dinner jackets are better in low light settings. The first time I used renovateur on my black shoes I was removing blue polish, so clearly this is something some makers do now to make them look more appealing. I do occasionally top them up with blue to retain the lustre but don't expect a stark difference.

Not in my experience, been using it for 40 years. I have black, light tan, mid tan, dark brown and ox blood in the box and use them all as necessary. I also have three brushes, one for black and ox blood (I find the two are fine together) then one for light tan and one for brown - never use the light tan brush with any other polish! If you just use Cherry Blossom polish (as opposed to Meltonian cream - which is very heavily coloured) the original colour of the show always remains and they simply take on a nice polished patina. arsenalmorris said:
Today's pick up, Copa Mundial's
Best boots going and got them a hell of a lot cheaper than the £120 they are listed as on the Adidas website,
The box design is interesting; any Copas I've ever seen were in the black box with the lift-off top - you know the one, with the three stripes running down from the lid onto the box? Plus, the style code being shown alongside the style name is something I've not seen before. Perhaps they're a newer style box to differentiate from the newer Copa 17.x models?Best boots going and got them a hell of a lot cheaper than the £120 they are listed as on the Adidas website,

Do tell - both my boys play to a high standard and typically go through 4 pairs of CM's per season, any advice on discount availability would be appreciated!Best boots going and got them a hell of a lot cheaper than the £120 they are listed as on the Adidas website,

Blimey, they look just like the Franz Beckenbauers I used to wear 40 years ago! plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose. Or should I say Je mehr Dinge ändern, desto mehr ist es die gleiche Sache! Someone goes through 4 pairs a season
I had mixed soles and all moulds that lasted me about 6 seasons of decent level Saturday football! Although I did end up playing with an Umbro Speciali on my left foot for most of my last season as the stitching had completely gone on the CM and I knew I wouldn't be able to do another season so didn't want to buy a whole new pair and was donated the Speciali
