Driving shoes; today's driving gloves.
If you enjoy going for long drives (doing a c.2200 mile road trip in June!) and your pedals are close together, driving shoes feel so much better over conventional shoes or boots. Better pedal feel than trainers too ... I wouldn't buy gloves.Thanks for the suggestions! I'm going to order the Sparcos tomorrow

Nice! Where do you source your Adidas from? I have a couple of guys that have helped me out with Stockholms, Londons and Athens in the past, but I really want a couple of the Gore Tex Trim Trabbs that sold out from Size in about 5 minutes and they can't help.FreeLitres said:
To get things back on track - a pic of my Church's after today's polish and wax;
Anyone here got any Handgrade Crockett & Jones? I fancy something like these
Snap on the shoe trees can't believe I didnt get some sooner. Although I need a couple more pairs now. They are a very nice pair of shoes. Anyone here got any Handgrade Crockett & Jones? I fancy something like these
And thanks for getting away from these trainers trying to call themselves sports shoes.

Pretty tempted by these for driving - I love the Puma Motorsport Suede series, but some of the new designs are either horrible, or Ferrari branded. However as a 28 year old, I'm concerned I might look a bit stupid if I pop into the local supermarket with the below ... What do you think? Any other suede driving (thin soles, narrow) shoes worth considering before I hit 'buy'?
bit pricey but omp's vintage shoes look reasonable under jeans. if youopt for the sparco's don't bother with full race boots, karting boots are just as good yet much cheaper. i use sparco kart boots for trackdays.Ikemi said:

I have 5 pairs of those CT shoetrees now plus 2 sets of inferior trees.
I don't have that many shoes yet!
Couldn't believe CTS charging £60 on their website! They sell them on amazon for £20 +carr.I don't have that many shoes yet!
I'm a fan of their shirts for work, but I'm wary of their 'non-offer' pricing.

Cheers.
Edit - saw they were in Stockholm so not near to me and I went to the website. Just about to spend £124!!!

I do, that exact same model in black, along with a pair of wingtips.Very well made shoes but I feel the leather is a bit fragile and scuffs/scratches easily, certainly compared to my cheaper Church's "London Capital" shoes.
They hold their shape well though.
How do Barkers compare?
