Nice work.
I wore mine outside for the first time today. I also find them an excellent fit once I have shoe-horned my foot in. I literally get a *Schuuuurrrppp* of air rush as I slip them on! They have a thin layer of padding inside which seem to make that perfect fit.
They really do feel like a high quality shoe though and the shape looks like a great blend between traditional rounded toe with a slightly elongated last. I didn't seem to pick up many creases from my first wear either unlike some of my cheaper Barkers.
My big issue is I've now seen the difference in quality between a 'cheap' brand like Loake and a 'better' brand like Church .. this could now get expensive!I wore mine outside for the first time today. Although I've got my eye on these next as a more casual shoe (In Cedar):

Gents opinions please, I'm guessing it's a send to Loake job for £70-75 however I've never owned shoes that can be re-soled/heeled so I'll ask for your help.
The shoes are only a year old and probably wear them once to twice a week. However I've just realised I've worn through the rubber section on the rear, and gone ever further.
Now can I get this re-heeled as the rest of the sole looks ok, however Loake state if they've been touched by a 3rd party they won't touch them so when the time comes to do a full re-sole I can't then send them to Loake?
My final question is how do I stop my shoes wearing like that? I'm guessing it's to do with how my feet are, for running I have trainers to compensate for this.
Anyway the images:

Loake should be able to repair that and add something to the heel (I would say a bit of rubber but fear people in this thread will lynch me) which will help protect that bit of the heel next time. The shoes are only a year old and probably wear them once to twice a week. I have had many pairs of shoes wear that far and have had them repaired by local shoe repairers. The shoes are only a year old and probably wear them once to twice a week. However I've just realised I've worn through the rubber section on the rear, and gone ever further.

An aside - I have been surprised how different makes of shoe vary so much with regard to heel wear. Generally, more expensive shoes last better but I have had Gucci loafers that have never needed re-heeling.

I got my soles done at Loake once and I wasn't too impressed with them when they came back considering they cost about £60 to have done (shoes cost £120 originally) so have used a local guy in London (from PH) ever since to do all my resoling. Any decent place will be able to sort that out though May be worth an email with pictures to Loake if you want to keep them in condition for Loake to do a full resole when the time comes. The shoes are only a year old and probably wear them once to twice a week. Thank you for the advice. And interesting about the Loake quality. I was keen as I actually picked them up at a very good price as it had a minor mark on the leather and knowing that Loake refinish the uppers on a resole is the reasoning behind wanting to use Loake. Otherwise I'd be more than happy to use an independent. I also have 3 pairs of Loakes but feel I need to go up the quality ladder so a trip to Church's soon.

Post a pic...
If not I'm sure a decent indy would fix it (& probably cheaper than Loake)

Good choice. Don't forget the other makers such as Crockett & Jones and Trickers which arguably use higher quality leathers. I also have 3 pairs of Loakes but feel I need to go up the quality ladder so a trip to Church's soon.
Church's are nice but I see them as the "go to" brand like BMW or Rolex as they seem to have the biggest following.
