There are two different qualities of Jeffery West shoes. Those that are available from their boutique shops (the stuff on their website) which retail for around £300 and those they sell at a lower price in general retail shops of around £120. I have lots of the £300 price level shoes and none of them have worn out prematurely or fallen apart etc. The general difference between JW and other shoes at the £300 mark is they are generally coated leather so they dont need polishing or have various effects on them that make others look quite plain. If they do fall apart the London shops will sort it out for you.
Mine were up at £245 .. hopefully they fall in to the better category.

I have got some rock port deck shoes like those, great for use on the boat with white no marking soles on mine too.

Also the fact that they are machine washable , makes them great holiday shoes too!

As with all my Rockports I buy them when in the U.S. Or Middle East when on business trips,,always great value for money!

The boutique range are usually defined by the heels which are shaped to look like a Devils hoof rather than flat like on the cheaper range but there is the odd one in the cheaper range with the hoof heel

Thanks!

Retail price on the C&J Monkton is £385 but I picked up these imperfects for £180. The other SUB styles were cheaper but these monks are on the popular 348 last which they charge a bit more for.

From the factory shop Dom. The downsides are that you physically have to go there in Northampton and their stock is completely random so you can not guarantee to come away with exactly what you were looking for. I got lucky as I went in looking for a tan/chestnut monk shoe.

Ideal if you're close, keep meaning to have a trip down & tour the factory shops.
I bet you'd be hard pushed to spot the "fault" on the shoes?

Nothing obvious on these. A couple of slight creases where they have been tried on but I can't spot anything else.

There was a pair of suede boots that I really liked. Absolutely immaculate except for a 5 pence sized mark where the suede has been worn/burnt off somehow. It's flaws of that nature that I couldn't be happy with. Slight scuffs on calf leather are no problem as I have the relevant Saphir creams to colour them in.

If you spent some time looking over them, there are some absolute bargains. The discount savings should cover your fuel costs to get there.

ETA: Just finished treating them to their first layer of polish

How many pairs do you have Arsenal? You seem to get something new every week!
