I always do mine in a normal parralel fashion (I'm sure it will have a name)
That to me looks like you try too hard.
Nice shoes though.Every time I polish my shoes I lace them differently. Guess I'm a bit odd.

The wife told me to get some new casual shoes for our upcoming holiday to Cyprus.
As usual I made lots of excuses as to why I had not got around to going out to buy some.
So imagine my surprise when she came home yesterday and presented me with these very smart moccasins from Gant:-
She also bought me some very nice bright coloured Polo shirts also from the Gant store too!
What a lucky boy I am to have such a great wife! Thanks Mrs P!

In other news, using the correct colour polish makes a huge difference.
These Cheaney's are about two years old, seen plenty of wear and been back to the factory once to be resoled. I'd been using a light tan polish and while they looked clean and shiny they were gradually getting lighter. The other day I found some chestnut cream and the difference is remarkable - back to original colour.
Why would any shoe manufacturer make shoes with offset lace holes. I can only assume it's just to be different, but it looks plain stupid. These Cheaney's are about two years old, seen plenty of wear and been back to the factory once to be resoled. Shame, a decent pair of shoes totally ruined.

Back to the UK fir a funeral and so three days wearing my new Loake Thirsks. They pinch a bit on the toes on the left foot. Now it is years since I had shoes of this quality; so how do I alleviate the tight areas? I seem to remember some special "trees" that would be used in my youth. I don't think I'll be wearing them for a bit now summer is here so I have plenty of time to ease the leather before autumn. All help appreciated!
