I like those. I'm after some decent black shoes, tempting! Were these in the Jones sale? Which model of Loake are they?Quick question...
Does anyone know who supplies the shoes that Brook Taverner sell?
Got a catalogue through, and really like the look of these:

They are at 50% in the catalogue, and I wonder who the real supplier is.

Hi, quick question for the shoe experts, which is better shoe polish or cream?
Quick answer: Cream is for the shoe, wax is for the ownerCream has oils that penetrate and nourish the leather. The pigments also recolour the shoe to hide scuffs. They will also give a subtle shine.
The wax (polish) sits on the leather surface to give a nice deep shine.
I use both!

Thanks, never been in a TKMaxx, might have to give it a go. While they're not Church's quality, they're not bad for the money
TK seem to be a bit hit & miss, you may need to visit a few times.Gretchen said:
I don't know if this helps, but my eldest son is of the belief the better buys are from TK Maxx located in the more affluent areas (the wealthier parts of society wouldn't be seen in there). He has indeed purchased many designer shoes/sunglasses/fashion items that one maybe wouldn't find in a less wealthy town.
Interesting theory, my nearest is Banbury so using that logic I won't bother going in thereAlex L said:

Yes, there is a TK Maxx directly opposite The Gherkin!

OK shoe threadists: tassel loafers - talk to me.
I want to see pictures, and makes/names!!
I don't have a photo of mine to hand, but I have a nice casual pair from Dune like these:I want to see pictures, and makes/names!!
I like them but I know they're not to everyone's taste. Good for casual, but I'd feel like my dad if I had a black pair that I wore with a suit.

i figured this would divide opinion. Would it help if i said i was planning to wear them to smarten up shorts or rolled up chinos with mankles on the go?
Have you considered a classic penny loafer style instead?Crocket & Jones Sydney loafer
Suede is particularly popular at the moment
