Got these recently, to replace my original pair which got destroyed more than 20 years ago:

Edit - they have a pair on exhibit in the V&A museum - now that is pretty awesome.

i think a good rule with this thread is to post your age along with the shoe pic
Or here's an idea - just accept people have differing tastes.
It wasn't a dig at any particular footwear. I was meaning what might suit the younger man (and i am not meaning 12 year old... maybe 20-odd) might not be such for the over 30, 40 whatever; and vice versa. It would useful to know!
Surely you can guess their age by the shoes? Nobody over 25 would wear high-top trainers, for example.

Got these for X-mas, bit different from what I'm used to but still like them.

Whilst I have nothing against the shoes, I am assuming having looked at your profile and ruled out the option of you living in sunnier climes, that these were an absolutely fking steal in the sales, and bought in readiness for an upcoming holiday or the hopes of a better summer this year?

Nice set of Barkers, which cost far too much smile

Only problem at the moment is they don't fit as my foot has swelled up a little from Taekwondo.

Yes and yes.
First holiday in 5 years. smile

I've recently bought two pairs of shoes with leather uppers and soles from The Telegraph shop. The quality is superb, although not as good as bespoke shoes, they're much better than the likes of high street shoes. The soles are glued and stiched.

http://shop.telegraph.co.uk/mm-bogofleathershoes/c...

All for the bargain price of under £40 including P&P. For two pairs!

Highly recommended.
