It's mainly a PH thing?

You think all these shoe shops selling these shoes are only selling them to PHers?

Even bearing in mind this is a thread about new shoes, on a car forum, that's a pretty stupid post.
Do you think the average man on the street spends 200-400 quid on a pair of shoes?

Not the best of pics, but my new trickers stow arrived this morning!

Very nice! I'm looking for some Stow boots for the winter.

Did you order your normal shoe size, or did you down size a little? I have heard they fit slightly large. True?

I ordered true to size, they seem pretty good for me. These are off the 4497 last which are supposed to fit true to size, the 4444 last, they recommend sizing down a half size or so.

Are brogues whats in, as I never thought on them and can't imagine ever buying them, but the thread seems to have a lot of them?
Never been 'out'. Only worn by the discerning gentleman and only Oxford style wingtips will do wink

Unfortunately I have one leg shorter than the other (30mm) as a result of a childhood disease which means that once the hospital build the left one up it seriously reduces my ability to sell them on eBay smile

Not once I move to the rest of the shoe but I've only done the toecap so far. It tends to take more wax than the rest of the shoe as it doesn't need to flex in use.

Sure, I'll do my best. I've not bulled shoes since my teens when I was a cadet. Now a reservist in my late 30s it's all coming flooding back to me. Hope I can do a good job as I have a forthcoming duty in London I need to look sharp for.

Is that the same design at the toe box as the Milano and the Baltic Cup / BC? That design's one of the things I really like about the Milano silhouette. It might actually be my favourite of the City Series. How are the Settends? With them being Spezial releases I'm guessing they're a cut above most.

Yea they seem to have the same toe box design and the Baltic Cups do, Not wore em out and about ye but they seems comfy when trying on, Quality seems spot on tbh aswell.

There are some pretty horrendous shoes on this thread. Each to their own and all that but why do we need coloured shoes, what's wrong with black or brown or white for trainers? Coloured shoes are for ladies imo.

And as for the brogue question, I don't get it either. I don't see people out there wearing them as often as you'd expect given this thread. I particularly don't like the shape of some of the most expensive shoes out there- always look clumpy to me. But then I like a pointed toe, zip fastening and no socks on show so what do I know.

Really? Why not coloured shoes? The world would be pretty bloody dull place with all men required to wear black, brown or white.

Why are they for ladies? How old are you btw? Is it an age thing?

'tis very strange...dont see anyone wearing brogues in my day to day life, let alone anyone spending 2-400 on a pair of shoes, but then again if you look at the "show us your house" thread how many 2 bed terraced Pye homes do you see? Does seem to be slightly elitist in here nowadays...

Do you really believe that it is elitist to spend over £200 on a pair of shoes?

I bet technodup has a monochrome car. I'm going with silver Audi with black leather interior. A white house, cream carpet, black or brown leather sofas.

BORING!

Has anyone ever bought Louis Vuitton shoes? I really like the look of the Greenwich Derby but don't know anything about Louis Vuitton as a shoe maker.

I've seen their shoemaking video on youtube which looks like it's great quality, but just wanted to know about first hand experience.
