Anybody got a pair of loake Blenheim's? I tried a pair on yesterday as I've had my eye open for a pair of Chelsea boots for a while and these caught my eye. However, I'm concerned as to how they will last. They are a slightly waxy leather and I would want them to stay reasonably smart as they age, not end up looking like a pair of farmers boots. Anyone any experience?
Sort of off topic but never mind: As I've been goaded into buying a pair of traditional hand made English shoes by this bloody thread, I came across this forum, whilst looking who makes what/where etc. Read it through to where a guy called Tricker contributes(page 2). It's slightly out of date but offers a good insight into the Northampton shoe making industries from someone on the inside Hand made shoes

Now come on! I know they're only going to be worn around the house but have some dignity fella. They look like a half finished Gucci loafer with some sort of faux fur contraption melted on the back.I guess they could appeal if you want something different because they definitely are that.

To think some poor little faux was killed to make those: It's heartbreakingI guess they could appeal if you want something different because they definitely are that.

I've linked to another topic there before, has a concise list of shoe makers. I'll try to find it...ETA: Here it is: CLICK.

Any adidas experts know what ones these are?
Bought them about 8 years ago and they are my comfiest shoes I own(maybe because I've washed them afew times?). Getting a little tatty looking so now I only wear it if it doesn't involve semi casual or above social events. Would love to get the same thing again but maybe in a different colour and without the 3 things on the bottom (what was the point in that?). I have a pair of gazelles which I bought afew months back and while they are nice they are nowhere as comfy as these.

Not an expert, but I think those are Grand Slams. Your best bet is likely going to be eBay or collectors' groups if they're not currently available. Unfortunately, I don't know of any groups, but chances are that arsenalmorris or BrabusMog might. Many classic Adidas styles come and go, giving them a bit of exclusivity. Great if you're looking to get something a bit different, not so great if you just want a trainer you like. Then there are staple styles like the Samba and Gazelle, which are in continuous production. Certain colour schemes might be removed or killed off entirely but the actual model isn't.
As for the pegs in the midsole, those are meant to adjust the level of cushioning you receive. The L.A. Trainer is the most well-known, but the Grand Slams and Kegler Supers had them as well. Having not had a pair with pegs I'm not sure how to remove them or any of that.

I can't find them now either! I found them using the Debenhams app rather than on the website, though I doubt that's the issue- I think they must have sold out.
And now I can not find the Debenhams app either. I think your unto something or you have bought all of the stock! Levin said:

If not as above Ebay or Collectors groups, Quite a few on Facebook are your best bet, Probably going to pay more on Ebay as people on the groups (if you get in the right ones) tend to look after each other.
Let me know if you need any more help.
