Jean color is too light for me, sorry. Needs to be darker.

Nice looking carpet, shoes also nice.
Tricky - yes the jeans would look better in a darker shade, but trousers should not be much darker than the shoes.

I would suggest getting a pair of lighter trousers to go with those tan shoes

Anyone know anything about slippers?

Predictably I got some for Christmas as my old ones were falling apart and to say they keep my feet warm is an understatement - they're ridiculous and sticky feet aren't nice vomit

I want to replace them but not for more of the same - was tempted to just sod it and get some Church's leather slippers but wanted to be sure that they would be worth the investment.

I don't have cheesy wotsits for toes in that my feet are fine in my Cheaney/Sweeney leather shoes so I'm assuming it must be that these slippers are man made and stop your feet "breathing"?
I had these bought for me about a year ago.

They are showing little or no sign of wear and have moulded to my feet like a glove.

Lovely. Buy some, you won't regret it.

Can't find the answer so....

I'm heading up yo Northampton v Wasps soon and it would seem foolish to not pop into a few a Factory shops. Does anybody have the link or a good guide to what's where etc? And what's worthwhile? Churchs are a definite but???

Thanks in advance

Pay attention to the opening times of the shops too.

From memory, C&J is only open Friday and Saturday morning. Trickers is closed over the weekend, etc. Barkers is well worth a visit as they have a massive stock, but you have to drive to the next town as they are not in Northampton town centre. Same for Cheaney.

See a few pages back but when I went to Northampton I did Church's, Barkers, and Cheaney.

Cheaney and Barker are worth the trip simply because of the quantity of stuff they have, Church's less so IMO.

The price is a little eye watering but if they last I could live with it.

Silly question but smooth leather soles and carpets, do you find you slip and slide? Only asking as I know when I wear brand new shoes with leather soles in the house I regress to being a child and skidding everywhere until the soles are broken in outdoors smile

I've gone completely off message and have a pair of Dickies Thinsulate Microsuede slippers which I bought from Walmart for $10.

Plenty good enough for mincing around the house biggrin

My previous pair of these lasted for 5 years.

No problems with slipping, the surface of the sole seems different to normal shoes. You can always get some crampons.

@ 55palfers thanks, wearing them now smile

For anyone interested, Austin Reed have a 20% off on shoes including Church's.

It's supposed to be online as their in-store shoes are apparently concessions but they honoured it for me.

My current Giro Empires are looking a bit tatty so I've just ordered the new reflective version from my LBS.

Bought a pair of Adidas Hamburg in the Adidas Dublin colourway thanks to the end of year sales. The blue is really superb looking in natural light, although it does seem to mark easily (you can even see variation in the colour in the above picture). All the same, I like them enough for that to not be an issue.

I probably won't get to wearing these for a while, but they'll enter rotation sooner or later.

Nice for keeping your feet warm when you've fallen and you can't get up, and you're waiting for the home help to find you on Tuesday.

Are they cycling shoes or Eastern European raping trainers?
