Duggers of London prices are currently very low. I'm sure they used to be £160 or so but I just bought a pair of toe cap oxfords for £99 plus quidco cash back. They appear to be well made and comfortable straight from the off.

May we have a comparative picture please?
Why would I do that? I don't give a flying fk what internet randoms think of my shoe choice. Post your pictures up, expect feedback, good or bad.

I suspect Whoami asked because a lot of people on this thread are willing to criticize others but never post their own shoes and was trying to gauge which camp you fell in.

Seems he got his answer...

Barker was my route in to decent shoes too. Be careful, it's a slippery slope!

Looks like you are running out of room in the sneaker room! You will be stacking 2 boxes deep next.

Hi, Thanks, Glad you like, How come you find it bewildering, Is it that much different to people who collect stamps or anything else or people who post countless pairs off brogues etc,

If anything i would say collecting something like this is a lot better than stamps as friends / people get to see these where as if you collect stamps etc then it is just at home in a folder where people don't see them, Each to there own I guess.

I fell they should be called Bianchi, coloured like the bikes, but not after a dusty canyon road in California (although it is a good drive, when there aren't speed traps on it!)!

Merrell have become my shoe of choice of late.

I'm guessing you wear cords, a body-warmer/gillet, and socks from M & S
As you took the time to ask the question, I'll spare 60 seconds to answer:

No cords are owned.

I do have a very useful Timberland down filled body warmer (great for cold day walks)

Socks either Rohan or Craghoppers dependent on weather.

I hope that fulfills your interest.

Just had an early present from Santa, who was cunningly disguised as a DHL delivery driver(but I knew): Church's Grafton longwing brogue in burgundy calf. I was toying with getting a similar shoe in shell cordovan from Crockett & Jones, but £600.00 was a little rich for my blood; the Loake Royal was also in the frame but I read they were corrected grain and may not age well. I then saw these on Herrings site, usually £450.00 everywhere, but reduced to £325.00. Result! I've gone with some library shots as I don't want my choice in socks, trousers, carpet and general décor pulled to pieces!

Lovely..do you have a link to these as I can't find the exact ones..
cheers

Just had a look in the sale section and they seem to have gone, looks like I dropped lucky. Here's a link to Herring's burgundy brogues, though they only seem to have the Grafton in the rubber sole variant now Herring's brogues Have a Google round, I think they are one of Church's more popular offerings, though you might have to pay the full £450.00frown
