These look tempting...

They size up big so get half a size smaller than your usual size

I'll probably pick them up in store on payday.
Most shoes fit me in size 10 (some are too small). Yet trainers have to be size 11!

Morning gents Ive been asked to be a groomsmen for a friends wedding I'm after some advice for wedding shoes to go with the following suit the we are wearing, I'm in boots all the time for work and as such haven't got any good shoes so some pointers would be appreciated ideally I need to try them in shop (London) due to a broken toe that hasn't set right and pushes on the side of boots budget up to £150
Black oxfords would be my choice - preferably with leather soles.
yes

This kind of thing:

I got a pair as above from Charles Tyrwhitt. Within budget, decent quality, outlets around London for you to try in person.

What colour shoes is the groom wearing? You and the other groomsmen/ushers should wear the same, otherwise it'll look a mess.

I'm not sure I'd necessarily agree with that.

For a start, few people will notice, and if he doesn't have other decent shoes, he'll need to be buying stuff that will offer long-term value and use to him.

At some of the weddings I've seen, the mens' shoes have been very far from the worst style disaster.

I noticed their black oxfords myself the last time I was in a Charles Tyrwhitt. They seemed remarkably good value for money.

The cheap sub-£100 shoes are built using cheap leathers in Spain or somewhere. The more expensive ~£200 ones are made in the UK, mainly by Loake I think. At full price, I would probably go for the same thing from Loake or Barker as they are essentially the same price. If CT have a sale on, then it's worth it IMO.

However, a sub £100 CT welted shoe is better than something with glued soles.

I looked at getting some black fearnley's but was put off by the brown sole. I suppose you could have them painted or just darken with polish.

black shoe polish soles...? There could be a problem with that!
