Some guys order some bespoke Lobbs then run out of money and leave them there??!
Mr Lobb should demand more of the payment up front!
My thoughts exactly - those shoes will not be perfect for anybody else.Mr Lobb should demand more of the payment up front!
Overall I was unimpressed with what I saw for the money and if I ever do go bespoke it won't be with Lobb.

I thought JL Paris was the Northampton factory making high quality ready to wear shoes (Paris because it was bought by a fashion house?)
Believe Hermes bought the Paris subsidiary in the '70s; they're made in Northampton (in a factory originally shared with Edward Green).Jordan210 said:
Also should I go up a size for chelsea boots ?
If you have other shoes in the same brand you would hope their sizing is constant throughout their range and therefore should size the same.If not I would recommend sizing down on the basis there is no adjustment and suede is more prone to stretching over time.

Seriously? They look like something my mother would wear
She must have big feet then, those are a UK 13. Admittedly I wasn't convinced about the buckle initially but quite like it now. They are incredibly comfortable as well.

I can well believe the amount of time it takes, especially for a new customer.
What does surprise me is the absolute stubbornness to adopt any new technology within the process.
