I'm an usher at one of my best friends weddings in August. I'm to wear a blue suit, and brown shows.

What do you guys think of these?

As for your shoe question, I would go for the Barkers; they look slimmer and have a leather sole which makes them more suitable for a wedding.

I like those Barkers, but they appear to be more red than brown.

I would agree generally, but for a more formal occasion I would consider these;
Barker Winsford in burgundy or Barker Alfred in wood brown, as they're Oxfords.

But of course, as you will be 'stuck with them' smile afterwards, you ideally want something you will continue to wear.

Unfortunately you're right - I can only see myself wearing those again at either a wedding or a funeral!

This is my favourite Loake currently, this would do the job and you would get wear out of them again....

Thanks, but I've gone for the Barkers.

The 15% off email that Jones' just emailed me swung the deal, £125 delivered.

OK, so I returned the Barkers and went for a more traditional shoe from Jones. The Barkers were just too 'showy' for my liking, and future use would have been limited!

Yep superb. I love Jeffrey West boots, very Chris Eubank but at size 13 i'm looking at made to order and can't justify the cost.

Really like the detail though.

I pop into their factory shop in Northampton to buy the odd gift, belt or walking cane you know the sort of thing.
