I really should get myself some retro Pumas. Maybe a pair of States, as I wear Ferrari branded shirts and jackets with skinny / slim fit trousers. I reckon States would straddle the perfect boundary between formal and casual.

you should do. Then you and morris (and your respective 'crews') can have a break dancing dance off in a disused car park in walthamstow.

Heh!

I did miss out the 'at work' bit in my post...

Not far from Walthamstow at the moment, too...

No, I'm an account manager for 50 odd branded petrol stations. Hence the Ferrari branded clothing...

Question to the sartorial types. biggrin

Formal shoes. Derbies or Oxfords. Any suggestions for some black items with a small contrast detail. Possibly like this.

Subtle, just enough to show character / interest. Not something nuts like Jeff West items.

Also not "high shine" like this. A more muted grain.

Alternatively what say you on doing some different colour laces on a plain black shoe? Not fluro pink! biggrin But a muted dark Blue or Green that compliments a navy suit.

I'm discounting Brown shoes with navy, but am I being rash? confused

First pair look like ballroom dancing shoes.

2nd pair are a bit Matador.

I can't imagine any situation where either are appropriate business wear!

I'd go Oxfords and I wouldn't have contrast stitching.

Patent shoes only with a dinner suit for evening wear. The others are horrible IMO smile

Yeah, I wouldn't go for Patent. Just regular finish.

I ask because I have some Sweeney's and there's a thin green line running through the heel. Which I like as a detail. So would like something similarly tasteful on some formal lace ups. Just to differentiate a little.

Just found these (Yes the tag would be removed) Not sure they're really "Black" though

And also massively discounted these Paul Smith items! laugh

I think I'm erring towards getting some subtle coloured laces on some decent all black items, as it's reversible.

Edit to add.
Quite like these Paul Smiths, but not at £185! Nice little subtle touch.
