Very wise, people would be approaching you asking to buy the Big Issue.
Well I always have always liked clothes/shoes/cars with some Patina. The problem with getting old is that you run out of time to create your own patina.
I have never liked shiney shoes so even now when I clean them I try to leave a dull finish.

Personally I find that the older I become the smarter I feel the need to be. When I was in my 20s and still beautiful I used to look good with distressed clothes. Now that I am in my 50s and look distressed I try to buy beautfiul clothes.

Fair play to you.

I've never been a particularly smart person but I stopped buying and wearing suits a few years ago. I have to go into Lloyd's every so often so I have a couple of Navy blue suits from M&S and a couple of knitted ties, but I only do that as they don't let you in if you don;t conform. My old business partner used to go mental at my refusal to wear the sharp suit/tie combo but these days no one really seems to care.
So I suppose "gentleman tramp" is a good way of describing my look now I am in my 40s. (well into my 40s)

Do you guys like Samoa's? I've just ordered a pair for £37.50 off the adidas website direct.
I like the price, but I'm not that in love with the silhouette. I've never seen a pair in real life but they've always struck me as being very chunky and clunky looking. They may not look that way in a real world scenario, bur it would put me off them. That said I have Trimm-Trab and the Samba Super isn't a super low-profile style either so they might be alright! The obvious exception to that for me is the Island Series variant but it's so similar to the Hawaii that I actually do like it.
Only just found his thread after starting a trainer/sneaker one.
Bit of a serial buyer... Above pair is some NMD R1 PK OG. Latest pair I've opened, but got a few more on the way
Loads of photos on a Facebook page a friend and I have set up https://m.facebook.com/thesneakerannexe/
And as I have loads of free time thanks to work, just started doing a few YouTube videos to fill the time Got a bit bored watching all the American kids doing it and showing off, so a more light hearted approach

BTW, no particular plug, cars and trainers are where its at for me, I just never thought to talk about none car stuff on here before until started this project

Heads up for any of you in the City - I wandered past the Loake store in Bow Lane yesterday and they have an extension on their sale with some shoes down to £75. I picked up a pair of tan Brogues but they also had black as well.
Not sure which style I got - will check tonight.
Walked past again today, so took a couple of pics of the window; Not sure which style I got - will check tonight.

I like a "thinner" silouhette myself, but I think these will be fine. I'll take a photo side by side with some London's when they get here for comparison. Or arsenalmorris can take them side by side with one shoe from each box of his!
Seeing you mention the London has just reminded me of another style I'd love to get a pair of: the Trimm Star. Now you've got me hoping they'll get a reissue somewhere down the line. Those, the Gazelle Super and maybe the Nike Waffle Racer are the three styles that have most caught my eye recently. I'd need the Waffle Racers to come very cheap though.swerni said:
sounds terrible. I think I actually like those shoes less than the first ones. At least the first ones try and look ridiculous. These ones just looks like elongated boring black office shoes.
I'm sorry to be mean about your shoes but i really think Jeffrey Wests are comedy for gigantic douches who are as old as my Dad but dress like what they think 25 year olds wear, but don't.
Your shirt is this:
or maybe this is you:
to get that second image i image searched for "middle aged douche nightclub". Direct hit.
