Today's pick up, Copa Mundial's

Best boots going and got them a hell of a lot cheaper than the £120 they are listed as on the Adidas website,

The box design is interesting; any Copas I've ever seen were in the black box with the lift-off top - you know the one, with the three stripes running down from the lid onto the box? Plus, the style code being shown alongside the style name is something I've not seen before. Perhaps they're a newer style box to differentiate from the newer Copa 17.x models?
Do I detect an oblique reference to perhaps being fake here? Be that as it may I sincerely hope Addidas have improved over the many, many years since I bought my first and last pair of Addidas boots. I saved up to buy the hugely expensive Addidas Santiago boots because my peers persuaded me they were the 'best boots going'. I overlooked the shoddy, cheap production but just could not ignore the fact that they were by far and away the most uncomfortable pieces of crap I ever had the total misfortune to acquire. They nearly crippled me. Got shot and bought some Gola boots. Took a lot of stick from my fellow team mates as they were definitely not de riguer but were well made and supremely comfortable. Expensive lesson learned and which I have always remembered to this day. Perhaps I should post some pictures of my Slazenger trainers - cheap as chips but well made, hard wearing and, again, supremely comfortable.

It's arsenalmorris; they're not going to be fake.

The box was just a little unusual to me as I've never seen Copa Mundial boots in that type before, but it makes sense if they were in an outlet. I'm no footballer so have very little to say about the quality of Adidas boots, but I rate the quality of their regular trainers. I had a pair of Samba Supers that I wore most days for the better part of two years and, while not exactly presentable nowadays, they're still completely intact.

Not sure I'd go for Slazenger stuff myself but there's no denying it's well-priced and, if it does everything else you want it to, that's more than reasonable.

They are 100% real, never buy anything fake, I'm expecting them to last well, made in Germany opposed to Vietnam / China etc and made from Kangaroo leather I am expecting them to last me for a while to come

Couldn't find my mixed soles, but these are the last pair of moulds I had before I had to hang up my boots.

From the start of this thread, ArsenalMorris has been a great ambassador for Adidas footwear, I've never tried them before, but thought I would give them a go. Bought this pair yesterday

I would imagine you will feel they are just a normal pair of trainers!

Shop about an get some boost runners for £40-£50, they will be better than thoes. Guessing you are using them for the gym/training?

I usually buy the Nike Downshifter series (bought a light blue pair yesterday with the Adidas pair) as they're very comfortable and light. Main use is for dog walking - though I am starting at a gym that opens in a few weeks time so need new gear for that.
I noted that the Adidas pair had a low, high, low feel to the soles.

Love me a pair of Copa Mundials.. Getting through four pairs a season sounds a bit much though.. Are they playing on Astro? My playing days are more or less over now but I've always sworn by Adidas:

Hard Ground - Adidas Copa Mundial
Soft Ground - Adidas World Cup (although I've still got a snazzy blue pair of Adidas Profi as below)
Astro - Adidas Mundial Team (as sported by most refs by the looks of it!)
Kickaround - Adidas Samba Super

You can keep your Ronaldo ankle bootie Nike jobbies!

I always found Adidas boots to be too slim for my feet in my day even though I loved the way they look(ed)..............it was a while ago and boots were generally black and white in colour in those days hehe

I went with Puma King SPA, Diadora 10 and Patrick Professional as my boots of choice. Generally had 3 pairs on the go at any time with the Diadora's as my moulded set. Each pair lasted 2-3 seasons as they were dried naturally and fastidiously cleaned after each use thumbup

Can't see any of the modern day-glo boots standing up to a decent tackle to be honest.

at rugby some lads favour the cheap/never wash approach and go through 2/3 pairs a season, whilst i like the adidas CM/WC method and wash/dry/treat once a week (I train 2 times and play once) as I can't dry them inbetween training sessions.

Mine come up like new every time. I don't expect to buy another pair before I retire in a few years.
I haven't worn football boots since balls were made of leather and had laces. But my children are mad keen. I have recently discovered boot cleaning spray - basically it's a foam that lifts off the mud and the boot is towelled off, leaving an impressive sparkle. No tap required.
