On the basis that I am not sure trainers are "me" anymore I have bought these from the Soletrader outlet site. They were about £75. If I get use out of them this season I might invest in some more expensive ones next year.
These arrived at the local store today, I am a 9.5 so neither pair fitted. Probably just as well, I'd have needed to submit myself to the "a bit council" thread having bought shoes from Soletrader. So I am still in the market for a pair of 9.5 tan, leather, cup sole trainers if anyone sees any nice ones.
Before I jump in and use it, how is Cherry Blossom spray-on Power Protector at protecting suede / nubuck? I can't imagine a major brand product would be a problem, but I thought I'd double check.
I got it to use on these, in the Asos sale (Dr Marten's 939 6-hole):

I wasn't sure which pair to get, those or another semi-matt leather pair (same style, 6-hole with cuffs):

Inevitably, as is the way of things, I think I'm going to end up keeping both. Even with protection, I wouldn't feel comfortable wearing suede boots in crappy wet / winter weather, but I think they look pretty good with jeans. Pics when I get them treated etc.

I bought a pair similar to these, on the DM website. I've hardly worn them as those cuffs tend to dig into the back of my leg making them the most uncomfortable pair of DMs I've ever owned. I got it to use on these, in the Asos sale (Dr Marten's 939 6-hole):

I like them. I have a similar pair in pale blue (and orange soles!) which verge on Cote-d'Azure-beach-bum but I think stay just the right side of the line.
Thanks. I'll see how they are IRL. If ok, they'll have to be worn with some due thought. They may look good in Milan or certain parts of London, however they may look a bit 'try hard' in Essex. We'll see.Zad said:

IME this is best for protecting suede.I don't post that often on here, as being a footwear retailer I tend to have loads of 'new shoes', but I have been wearing these recently.
Had them in tan suede and the Chelsea boot (tan and navy) and just had a pair of these.
I wasn't sure at first as they felt narrow, but spread nicely after a couple of days and really comfy, plus they are only £50.
Heavenly Feet, I think the name is Rutland or Oakham, one is the boot.
