Will let you know - so you went for tan and brown also then?? Personally, I ordered these for a more slobby pair/s so may not be too critical if there are slight imperfections in the toes. Depends though obviously.....

Anybody else received theirs yet?
Mines are sitting at home will report back later.

The brown ones had a mark on them across the front. Wouldn't come out with a suede brush and it's in quite a prominent position.

The tan ones seem 'worn' at the front. It's just like the image on the website, if you look closely hopefully you'll see what I mean. I assumed they'd just picked a poor example to photograph. rolleyes Probably a manufacturing issue and why they ended up in TK Maxx.

Real shame as the previous ones I bought were great. Hopefully the other members who placed an order will have better luck.
I think it was fashionable a while ago for the manufacturers to burnish the toe and heels of Suede boots, as shown in this more extreme example from Church (factory finish).

Not A huge fan of that look either to be honest but it might appeal to some. Definitely gives the boots a more casual "distressed" look.

^Perhaps that would explain things FreeLitres. The wear is much milder than your example. I'm not hugely convinced by it tbh and I'm still more than likely to return them.

i don't normally like most of jeffrey west's wares. They have a boutique in manchester where i occasionally visit for a very brief look to confirm this, but i have to say yours are a rather nice pair of boots!

What on earth is a 'Grail Shoe'??
Pretty self-explanatory, I would have thought.

You've probably understood the idea by now, but if you're still struggling, give me a shout and I'll explain it for you thumbup

I managed to pick up some rather fine shoes.

Crockett & Jones Weymouth from their premium "Handgrade" range.

As you can see they are wholecut (uppers made from one piece of leather) and have an oak bark tanned leather sole with hidden stitching. They really do feel high quality.
If anyone's after a brand new and unworn black pair of the G.J. Cleverley version of this shoe ("Alan" from the Bench Made range, made for them by C&J) in an 8 1/2, send me an email via my profile.

My browns are fine but the tans are a little 'worn' or burnished on the cap. Not sure about them in the flesh but need to try them on. Will report back with hopefully some pictures....

I would imagine that TK Maxx are selling them they have probably failed the quality control.

Mines also came in a generic unbranded box but like I have mentioned I can't see anything wrong with mine.

No brand named shoes here, I liked the design/suede it has. Hoping they wont fall apart too quickly.

I'm always loathe to pay out for something mundane, my trusty comfortable but boring Rockfort's expired recently so I'm forced to purchase new shoes and these caught my eye - but are these shoes a step too far? (the red on both pairs is darker than they appear in the image)

Interested to hear everyone's thoughts!

Cheers!
