I've got a party on Saturday, nothing formal. I need some new shoes to wear, I like these 2 pairs.

Which would go best with very dark jeans?

These, although they are not, as listed, Oxfords...

Tsk.

If you go for these make sure they fit you better than the model. He must be wearing a full size too big.

Why do cyclists shave their legs?

I certainly read of it years ago, long before the internet.
"If we are honest with ourselves though, we shave our legs because it is a badge of honour that marks us out as cyclists. After a hard training block and with a bit of a suntan, the muscles and surface veins that are the visible signs of your labours are much more visible without hairs to obscure them."

I was considering yesterday that cyclists think of themselves as special.

It was as I was trailing a "peleton" of 3 riders in club jerseys at 10mph uphill. They were fully aware that there were cars queuing behind them, but would they move over? No.

Hahah Im a cyclist and dont shave my legs, I went over them with a bic once and thought bugger that again , bit too girlie and poncy for me . I bairly have time to shave my face, sod ponceing around with legs. My misses puts up with 3 bikes indoors, me wearing lycra, me disappearing for hours on end on the bike , but she said she would leave me if I shaved my legs.

I also move over and try and accommodate drivers, there are dicks on the roads regardless of transport choice

You should have told them that as you pay more council tax than all 3 of them combined them that they must immediately vacate all roads when you are driving. So as to not hold you up even for a few minutes.

Life just isn't fair to you is it...

To the guy above with the Jeff Wests. I;ve always liked the look of them from a design point of view. But they look really uncomfortable if your feet aren't "the right shape" for them. And they are a bit moe rocker than I could carry off.

Ted Baker Torsdi chukka boots in brown.

Quite boat-like in a size 12.
Not criticising - I bought two pairs of Ted Baker brogues foolishly a few years back, the soles wore out in a few weeks - even worn in rotation. Had to get Richrd at the shoehealer to dainite them. Watch out bro

A few weeks? Do you walk a lot or did they simply wear down very quickly? I don't think I've ever had shoes that lasted only a few weeks. :O

Wouldn't touch Ted Baker shoes again even if for free.
Absolute rubbish in my experience.

All for 'fashion' nothing for comfort or durability.

No, but I have some Tricker country shoes. They are very agricultural.

For the money they are asking they should be offering Veldtschoen constructions (makes shoes pretty waterproof) . Personally I'd look elsewhere.
