For obvious reasons I've chosen a non-carpeted room.
No, I don't have elephantiasis in my left knee. It's because my knee is closer than my feet (see Father Ted for a full explanation of the difference between small and far away).
No, those aren't the trousers I'll be wearing with them.
What can possibly go wrong...
On the subject of these shoes - they are Grenson by the way - the top of the left backstay cuts into my delicate flesh just a little. No, I don't have elephantiasis in my left knee. Ah, I've heard of this stuff. I'd be concerned about turning my nice, stiff shoes into a pair of carpet slippers though. I need to visit civilisation tomorrow, so perhaps I will pop into a shoe repairer and see what they have to say... probably, "here, buy a can of this, Sir".https://www.afinepairofshoes.co.uk/products/saphir...

Okay, the answer for anyone similarly afflicted is this. Heat the offending area with a hair dryer and give the leather a good thumbing to soften / stretch it. Problem solved.I presume a shoe repairer could ease the problem, but is there a home remedy?
