Speaking of Samba's I got these today

Samba SPZL, less that half price at £43 glad I waited for them in the sale now

I have a pair inbound as well wink

£43 was a cracking price to get them for - I'll admit I paid more than that from Consortium. I could be wrong but I feel like their value is going to increase again because of Trainspotting 2. Burgundy Samba Super tend to be expensive too on account of the first film; I was lucky enough to get a pair when JD Sports had them new in 2015. Wish they'd do burgundy as a main release in them but I don't think it'll happen.

Did you hear what site it was? One of the guys on Instagram posted about it but didn't name names. Totally cynical marketing move but I'd nearly bet they'll sell anyway.

Asics make good running shoes. I recommend joining your local parkrun of you haven't already tried it. It's a free weekly timed 5k.

Thanks for sharing that, was looking for something like this! Registered. If anyone fancies joining me in the Manchester area i'll be at the "South Manchester" run - give me a shout
You'll enjoy the run (Platt Park) usually a very good turnout (300+) Flat and quick, but you may get your new Asics a little dirty. Plenty of post run cafes to enjoy a bacon butty.

Do you guys like Samoa's? I've just ordered a pair for £37.50 off the adidas website direct.

For driving shoes I either wear my Nike Roshes or an ancient pair of Fred Perry plimsoles that I've had so long they no longer have an insole and have massive freyed holes on the outside. Feels like I'm wearing nothing at all.

I'm not that keen tbh apart from the ones that came as part of the island series ( but they are a different shape) although the Navy and yellow ones wasnt bad come to think of it

What outfit do you plan on wearing these with?

I love the detail and style of them. But I can't imagine teaming them with a suit. More a pair of skinny jeans like a rock band. Which isn't really me tbh.

Its the same with the vast majority of Jeff West stuff sadly.

I haven't worn as suit in a couple of years.
I've got a few pairs others or more like classic brogues but boots.
The smartest I get these days is jeans a shirt and a jacket.
so what are you going to wear them with then? shorts?

However when you edited your post and only highlighted jeans I was wondering.

Rock band, in those?

Rock band is more Chuck Taylor than polished pointy boots.

right here goes I reckon these are going to go down like a st sandwich

Italian distressed leather high tops, Made by A diciannoveventitre. they make some way out desgins but also someof my favourite pairs of shoes. One of their lasts is just made for my feet.

I look on ebay for their stuff along with some other items.

I like the price, but I'm not that in love with the silhouette. I've never seen a pair in real life but they've always struck me as being very chunky and clunky looking. They may not look that way in a real world scenario, bur it would put me off them. That said I have Trimm-Trab and the Samba Super isn't a super low-profile style either so they might be alright!

The obvious exception to that for me is the Island Series variant but it's so similar to the Hawaii that I actually do like it.
