Have to agree, I'm afraid. My interest in recent seasons has only been maintained by a works fantasy football league but this time around I can't even be bothered with that. Personally I hope that the whole gin palace would "do a Rangers" but it seems that there is no end of money available to keep the primadonnas in the manner they are accustomed to, the fat cats their corporate do's and the men in grey suits in their postions of power in their ivory towers. Yes, I might still have a nostalgic glance at the 3rd round draw for the FA cup but I think otherwise I may finally have grown out of football. Good article, and I'm no great fan of the Wail. Sorry, Mail. Think it's about time I clued up on the rules of rugby. Wish me luck with that..

That time of the year again. People who hate football complain about it and people that love football complain about the people complaining about football.

Interesting programme on R4 yesterday.
Result was that the Premier League has FA to do with the game & everything to do with money.
Possible contributing reason why the national team couldn't knock skin off't rice pudding.
It has been nice to hear nothing about the whole sorry bandwagon since the end of the European Championship.

That does always make me laugh. I refer not to the OP with this statement - his complaint seems to be with aspects of the game, rather than the game itself. But the terminal insecurity of a certain section of PH that feels so disenfranchised as to feel the need to post threads complaining about football and its supporters always raises a rueful chuckle.
