Well I wouldn't be looking at the splashback whilst raking around in her drawers.

She probably asked for too many cabinets - as every woman does - without thinking of the availability and depth of the cabinets. Looking at them they are already slimline units, the one on the left, if removed, would have allowed the extractor to be centralized though leaving an unsightly gap to the right hand unit, also leaving her no-where to store her John Smiths...

Yeah ,but the units could do with more colour, they would look better with a light pattern just to liven them up a bit....you know not so bland. I have a kettle like that.

They are very thin wall-units - and probably not that deep.
I'm guessing two shelves in them. Max.
Quite literally a waste of space.

Hang on, that's a stainless steel splashback is it not?
A bugger to keep clean they are.

A bugger to keep clean they are. Indeed - Although the gloss white doors on the cabinets are totally the opposite. Easy wipe clean.

Easy wipe clean. True, but they're a bit bland. Personally, I would have gone for a "shaker" style of cupboard doors.

It all looks off-centre to me. The drawers IMHO, should be centre with the extracter and stainless-steel splashback, instead they look off-set to the left a little.

Looking at it closely, simply fitting a 3/4 width corner unit - possibly containing a swing out bin - to the right hand side would have allowed the hob unit to align with the hood. Much more acceptable. Bet it was MFI and the designer said "Sorry, computer says No".

None of your super-retro 80s smoked-glass pyrex saucepans!

I'm surprised....oh It's not a "mild gag milked too much", it's the active hijacking of an incredibly boring thread to turn it into something interesting and informative. We've actually done the OP a favour. (Although I'll give it five minutes until it's moved to the "Homes, Gardens And DIY" forum.)
