Are those Welsh people?
In the interest of finding out what it was you had planned for if I answered 'Yes' to this question I shall now re-answer.

Yes, yes they are.

Sunset.

Spent some time in Wales and it was stunning.

I went to North Norfolk a couple of weeks ago, and you even get a decent sunset there over the coast, however, I live at the most Easterly point in the UK so have to settle for a sunrise (rarely up early enough to see first light)

Sunset, I hate getting up early.

I once saw a pretty amazing sunset from your Oxwich beach. It was pretty 'tidy'. In fact both Three Cliffs and Oxwich I imagine are pretty spectacular for sunsets.

I'm seeing a Welsh girl and have premonitions of having to hold her out like some form of talisman to the locals in case they try to chase me back over the bridge! biggrin

Ehhh, not sure you did mate, Oxwich faces East biggrin Llangennith maybe? Oxwich is the one that has the pub/hotel all the way on the right and a couple of smaller bays on the other side to the left. Llangennith is the one that is a few miles long, west facing, caravan park roughly in the middle and a cliff with a pub on the top on the left hand side and worms head along the cliff.

With regards to the welsh girl, be afraid. There is a reason Welsh men go for non-Welsh women. Iawn Meddwl. Rydych chi wedi bod yn rhybuddio.

Either, sorry.

A brilliant start to the new day;

Sunrise, race day at Jerez in 1997 when Mika Hakkinen won for the 1st time.

Or an ending to a day and all that promise of a new dawn (and Shepherds Pie perhaps hehe )to come;

Sunset in Hyde Park on Saturday with some particularly interesting cloud structures.

There was practically nil wind over the whole of Europe all the way up to 39000ft on Saturday, thus the amazing sky on Saturday evening.

If Lancashire had been built on the East coast, I'd go for sunrise. As it is, I'm delighted to settle for sunset.smile

Lucky me, I get to see the sun rise every morning. As pretty as it is I would much prefer the sunset.

[quote=bob1179]I live next to the sea on the east coast, I do like seeing the sunrise. My house looks out over the sea.

Though to be honest I prefer it when there is a full moon as the reflection on the sea looks really cool.

Hmmm, sunset. irked Just moved to the south coast but look out east over the bay (When I say "look out", I mean out the top window at the sea 3 miles away...) and the sunset is obscured by a wooded hill.

Sitting in a pub garden with friends, then it has to be sunset. However, if I'm out hunting, then it has to be sunrise. There is no better feeling seeing the sun rise, the world awake, and in autumn, the over night dew rise and form a faint mist, and lets not forget the smell.

Any deer stalkers amongst us will know exactly what I mean.

Sunrise.

I live on the Pacific coast of Central America and saw the sun rise over the sea every morning from my bedroom window. It was great for the first few minutes as it peeked over the horizon, but then it turned the apartment into a blazing furnace of heat. Moved to a different apartment with a sea view but no sun (phew relief).

A sunrise is full of promise and new beginnings; a sunset is just a dying day.
