Louis Vuitton Malletier was a classy brand but now has been slightly damaged by the WAG's the same as Jimmy Choo!
Slightly? rofl

They're the most faked leather goods brand in the world!

It's got nothing to do with WAGs, despite the fact you see more Channel hanging off their arms than LV (which is cheap in comparison).

As for Choo, that's another brand which has had the arse torn and I doubt the WAGs would swap their Louboutin's for Choo.

Paul & Shark
No way is Paul & Shark a chav brand.
Are you having a laugh?

It's one of the worst offenders!

Round here, one of the ways you can tell if someone is a traveller, scumbag, thug, hooligan or chav because they stick the little P&S shark logo on the back of their vans or chavvy hatchbacks!

As my mate once told someone "if you get into a road rage incident with a vehicle bearing a Paul and Shark 'shark logo' on the back of it, just apologise! Because if you don't, the driver will be out of his seat and stamping on your face in moments whilst shouting You fking !"

So for clarity: Fake = Chav

I'm sure Superdry and Hollister make some nice clothes that aren't so heavily branded (although I have no evidence of it) but I just don't see the point in paying way over the odds for a simple cotton t-shirt that's just a big brand from neckline to waistline and armpit to armpit.
Doesn't make them "chav" though - fair enough if you don't like them, or how the shops are run, but that's a different thing entirely.

I wouldn't stick a Paul and Shark logo on the back of the Merc but it isn't chavvy where I live. I guess you could say it has the football casual connotations but that doesn't bother me, same with Stone Island, Boss, Armani and the like. Well made clothes that fit supremely well couldn't be less chavvy, those jogging bottom jeans that say Henley's on the arse cheeks, however...

I think you have hit the nail on the head there.

Paul and Shark stuff looks quite nice, their shops are certainly nice, but sadly it has been embraces by thugs, hooligans and travellers.

bks has it, since when has Portobello always been seen as common?.

The problem with threads like this is it's always down to personal opinion and the fact that the term 'chav' is generally used to mean something the poster doesn't like rather than it actually being chav.
Well in my opinion a brand has become chav when you start to see lots of school kids wearing that brand. Once the school kids get a grip of the fassion the council estate type chavs are never far behind.

This is just starting now ( well it is around here )

When this starts to happen its seriously time not to wear that stuff anymore.

Rockport shoes.

I'm aware that they're more than just the Chav boots but it's enough for me to label it so.

These scream Brummy to me for some reason. When I was seeing the ex that's all anybody ever wore. These and a Goretex jacket.

I'm told Hollister stores are completely at odds with what most people would describe as a good clothes shop. They're pitch dark so you can't really see what you're buying, they play music extremely loud so you can't hear yourself think, let alone ask a friend what they think and yet despite this they seem to be able to sell tonnes of over-priced sweatshop clothes.
If they 'sell tonnes of over-priced sweatshop clothes' then it sounds like a pretty good shopping environment if you ask me wink
I guess it depends which side of the till you're stood I guess.

Rolex. Ultimate chav watch.

Fortunately I've never seen a Rolex I like so avoiding them isn't an issue for me.

It's more about how they wear these brands though....

A 70 year old posh lady wearing a genuine burberry coat at £800 or whatever isn't going to look like a chav is she?

The scrotes pictured earlier on the bench would pretty much still be chavs whatever they were wearing, it's more about the way the walk, talk and act that makes them chav... Certain brands will never escape it (kappa, lonsdale) but generally I'd say it's more about the people then the brands.

Why?

I'm guessing there are regional differences in many of these brands, but walk round Liverpool and P&S is sold in the same shops as Stone Island, Armani Jeans, Rockport and Henri Lloyd - and worn by exactly the same people.
