Southampton Uni - 50p pints, £1 doubles or £2 quads.

Struggle to spend over £20 on a night out.
50p pints, are you stting me!?

Knew I shouldn't have gone to university in London! Struggle to get much change out of a tenner for a round of three pints!

Anywhere from £50 to £700.
I discount one terrible mistake of lap dancing club ordering bottle after bottle of Dom..... That night was a blast but next morning with huge hangover thinking did I really need to do that...? (Also my mrs of the time caught wind and dumped me too - though I'd not had a single actual lap dance oh well).

Annoyingly have 5 stag weekends plus the six nations weekends all within the next five months..... That's going to be ££££ you only live once and you cannot take it with you.

£1 a pint at my old uni in london! new one doesn't even have a bar though unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately)

pre-drink, then a club and getting the bus home I'll usually have a little change from £40 quid

house party £0 to £20

pub most of the night maybe £30 quid

£100 is an expensive night, and happens probably a few times a year.

Average night, maybe 40 quid?

I think 50p pints are a thing of the past - knowing how much it costs to buy a keg of even very cheap beer you'd be making a loss. Pound a pint is standard for a cheap uni night now.

It's a Monday night only thing in Jesters (the local sthole, once voted 2nd worst 'club' in the UK) so I'm fairly sure they make a loss on it.

The double vodkas for £1 (usually £2) are a Tuesday only deal in Sobar, made using paint stripper.

Assuming we end up in a pub/bar in London, then normally around £30 (not including a meal).

Although last week we started off in The May Fair Hotel drinking cocktails, then moved on to The Lanesborough drinking wine, whisky and smoking cigars. That was a worryingly expensive few hours and not a regular thing. Good fun though!

Edit: yes. Read the thread now. They still have pint glasses in the urinals? Had some bloody good nights there visiting my brother in soton, agreed it is a st hole though. Still, at those prices...

What the hell do you people do on a night out? Even at the height of my stupidity in London £120 was about as mad as it got. And that pretty well took care of everything, drinks, food, confectionary and a taxi.

In Bangkok it's usually half that. I did once get to around £200, but I also fulfilled a lifelong ambition...

It's not difficult. A Double Vodka & Mixer is £10-15 depending on where you go. Throw in £20 worth of taxis, £10 worth of food, £5-15 entry, pre-drinks if you're that way inclined.. quickly adds up.

A few pints back in my local is a different story. Free in, pints £3 and enough crisps to avoid the grease on the way home.

Clearly people here all go out in London.

£40-50 is my standard for a night out. That's just drinks. Don't need a taxi. Depends on pre-game.

Going out for a meal is not a night out. That's going out for a meal wink

Variable tbh.

If out in Colchester around £50. If out in London, can be easily £100+.

I've minimised going out of late. I think I'm getting old (and poor). frown

Or start buying bottles of champagne and it quickly racks up, particularly if you're on good stuff.

Can't stand the stuff so no concern there!

And I'm no company director either, I'm paid average wage for my industry and the hours put in.

Good for you but why so defensive?

Chap asks how much people spend on a night out, people reply, simple as that, why do people feel the need to criticise what someone else spends their hard-earned on?

Twice as imaginative as me. No idea where you got the Labradors from either.
