Home made Devil's spoon. Popular 1970s novelty item, inspired by Rolf Harris.

The lead solder is, of course, toxic.

You could be right, although I thought they were made for people with short arms or t-rex spoons as we knew them.

This was also my first thought, it reminds me of the 1801 Napoleon Du Bouché, made specifically for him and his, er, shorter arms.

A friend of mine works in the energy industry, zero carbon and all that, through a shared interest in cars he's met and is now developing a new client, who turns out to be an Engineering Director at ThyssenKrupp. Intrigued, I asked (remotely and discreetly) if he knew Blib? He's asked around, and, apparently, nobody, but nobody, has ever heard of him. This confirms something I've had my suspicions about for a very long time Gentleman.

I believe, no doubt Blib will correct me if I’m wrong, that he is affiliated with the branch of the Krupp family that didn’t approve of the merger with Thyssen’s because they’re Nazis it didn’t align with their values and so remained a bunch of Nazis selling spoons separate entity.

Looks like a recipe for galvanic corrosion to me. I thought that lesson had been learnt at Trier in ‘82. The phrase ‘you’ll have someone’s eye out with that’ was never more apt.

Trio of delights. Before the old boys start hyperventilating about items 1 and 2 from the left its not too hard to grasp it's a set. The item of real interest is of course on the right and I'm happy to help find a new owner. I've started the restoration with Duraglit

Be fair. A toasting fork, an Absinthe spoon and a middling teaspoon, it's not that bad.

Probably sourced from a church jumble sale, the stuff the ran and bone man wouldn't take. Reminds me of books bought by the yard to fill bookshelves in faux upmarket pubs.

Not at all, encouraging new blood is great. Usually.
