Going to the Thieves Market here in Mumbai at the weekend, in case anyone wants me to keep an eye out for a Bramhankar or a Virkar-Kedar. Let me know.
I'd go upto £1000 for a pre-war Bramhankar "Three Headed Monkey". I know, I know, what are the odds? In all seriousness though, it doesn't seem to be the place to find hidden gems it used to be; too many tourists and counterfeits diluting what little is left. I hear though, that Myanmar is currently a great place to be looking for untapped stirring riches. Anyone had any experience?
Be advised.
I'd heard that Mr Bramhankar sold his company to The Poona Flatware Manufactory back in the late '70s
I'm told that all the moulds and drawings were part of the sale and there was talk of them producing a limited number of continuation models of the prestige patterns.
Not sure how many were made though.

I hope that there will not be any "irregularities" in the spoon and stirring governing bodies in light of recent events. let's hope everything is all above board
I've rumours about sugar granularity. It seems that we may soon see a re-emergence of the Leipzig 'debate'.Well after some months of secretive activity I'm able finally to confirm the rumours. Yes, I have signed a contract for the full factory Krupp pro team. We've been working hard with some very talented spoongineers and stirring coaches to launch what we feel can transform spooning this season. Here's a little taster of my new signature Krupp Hugo which will be available in limited numbers soon from approved dealers
Hopefully a full build thread coming up soon, just have to clear it with Dresden

Despite my best friend (flat mate) and my ex denying removing/ hiding/ eating them I now only have 2 teaspoons! I once had 24 (they came in a pack)
Off to the shops I trot...
I'd very much hope that you are heading for recognised implement providers, and not venturing into the abyss of generic dredges simply to fill the gaping holes in your display cabinets?Off to the shops I trot...

For years I've been telling anyone who'd listen that Hugo was an out and out Krupp fanboi. Even in the face of his denials.
Now, finally and incontrovertibly, proof!
To say that I'm disgusted is an understatement. Disgraceful Hugo, utterly disgraceful.

On Saturday, I'm headed over to California. I have a lead on a pre-war, Schnable 629 that's had its return flanges shaved. If I'm successful in tracking it down Hugo, be assured that I will be formally challenging you at Monaco in November.
We'll see how the crass engraving on your so called special stands up to a stirrer who knows what he's doing hefting a spoon that saw action in Stalingrad.
You have been warned.

Betrayed doesn't come close to how I feel at this moment.

I thought Monaco had banned Kamm-tails this year ? That would make Hugo's special ineligible for the federation competitions. On Saturday, I'm headed over to California. Good point. I'd completely forgotten about that. Hugo designs a spoon which can't compete in Monaco or half a dozen of the top competitions on the calendar. How ridiculous is that?????Unless Krupp are planning a breakaway series?
My wife has just finished helping her mother clear out the kitchen of a sadly deceased friend of the family. She was a bit of a hoarder but I'm told they've found a Verdault "Gloriana" in near mint condition.
The hallmark suggests 1934 vintage, and whilst this spoon therefore doesn't date from the Verdault "Golden Era", I'd be interested to know a likely value for auction purposes.
I'll post a photo later if I get a chance.

I have come across this piece on eBay.
If it is genuine I suspect £8.00 is a steal
