I've not read this til now, as the original was just so upsetting, so I'm very sad indeed to read what has happened.

On the upside he's at peace now. God bless.

Another matter close to me reminded me of poor Sam's battle with two, very different types of cancer.

Middx - hope you are still nearby and hope that the little lad's now fully incorporated into you and your family's life.

My goodness, how time flies. Agree it would be great to know how the little one is doing.

It was a bit of a shock to see this thread title show up again. Such a sad thread to be a part of. I never met Sam but I still admired him. I hope his brother managed to keep his family involved with Sams son.

Nearly two years......jeez and i still have a very dusty house. If middx is reading this it would be nice to get an update. There are a lot of substitute 'uncles' out here ( and aunties)

I really wouldn't have guessed was 2 years ago.

Still a very sad story to read. I hope Sam found peace in the end and looks down on his son.

If this woman loved Sam she would not of fleeced him of all his money and car, his child and just ran off.
If she did not want the burden, then why did she not let the child at least talk to his father?
If she was so shocked about his condition, why did she not try and help him?
Why did she send an army of solicitors at the ill man who was breathing his last breaths?
Repulsive.
The solicitors could be compared to Halifax (if you know, you know)

R.I.P Sam, may the angels watch over you, and my blessings for his son
