Is anyone brave enough to quote the price of these wellies?
You won't believe it !
What £160 ish, if they last years I’d be happy with that, current ones are maybe 16/17 years old & were about £120 I think You won't believe it !

A new pair of Chasseurs’ will set you back £360. i’m not sure I’d fork out £360 when Aigle produce such a good range, but i wouldn’t touch Hunter again with a barge pole - fashion tat for the townies who want to look country....
i’ve own a Barbour storm fleece which is a tremendous bit of kit, save for the fact that the rear neck line is too low (a design flaw for me). i’ve also got a very old and battered gilet that i use for walks.

I worked in a Gunshop when I was 16. I was allowed to pay weekly for my kit.
I had a Barbour Northumbria, unlined. Cost £30.
My rubber Hunters had hobnails, I think they were around £25.
My last pair of Hunters were £90 and that was cheap, five or six years ago.
When was this Micky?I had a Barbour Northumbria, unlined. Cost £30.

I worked part time for Cartridge money. Shot a lot of clays at that age.
Decent Wellies now as mentioned above are about £320-£360 Yikes!

Thanks. Wholesale or staff discount prices?
Pretty sure I paid RRP! Certainly for the Barbour.I paid around £200 for my last Beauford a few years ago, love the giant 'Poachers Pocket' all the way around the back.
Those Wellies are special order now. I remember sliding down footpaths and roads in them!
Great in the muck though.

Just like these, over 30yrs old and still going strong, from when Hunters were quality boots. Resoled about 20yrs ago and dont get used much these days, but just can’t bear to throw them out. I had a Barbour Northumbria, unlined. Cost £30.

I made a mistake, it was 1974 ! I'm 61 now
I'm a bit older than I was admitting, sorry!
A bit ot, but I have just picked up a pair of these for dog walks etc in the forest and they are very comfortable i must say.

I think I might need a pair of thicker socks as they are a tiny amount too big on one foot, but nevertheless, fantastic providing you dont want to wallow in mud and puddles.
Also picked this up on the cheap as it was on offer, plus we get an extra 25% from John lewis.

Perfect to sling on for damp days, providing you already have a jumper on or summink.

You've bought some Muck Boots and one is a different size to the other.
And you've bought a non waterproof jacket for damp days?
Lets hope it's a dry Winter with not much walking to do

I do appear to have odd sized matching feet so I can't help that!
And the coat is weather resistant more than proof, but primarily more as another layer for a chilly/damp day/eve.
Having said that, i did get caught out in a shower a few days ago and i kept dry underneath so it must be weather something.
I do have a couple of waxed jackets but can't really be doing with the weight of them, so i purchased a quilted weatherproof Stormforce coat and that is fantastic, although i can't remember the name of it as they don't have them on the inside!
