That Branson anecdote reminds me that I was on the first Easy Jet flight to Zurich. Stelios was onboard too. He chatted away to everyone. A good salesman. smile

I have had a few of these tenuous links to famous people, but the most tenuous was that Robbie Coltrane stood on my foot at the festival of speed whilst he was judging the concours. It fking hurt too, i was going to give him a mouthful until I saw who it was lol.
I stomped on Felipe Massa's foot near Dorint Nurburg reception. Got a cold eye, nothing more.

I've walked past Bob Geldof twice in the street. Years apart, different parts of London.

I wonder whether he ever talks about it.

I was in the queue for security at Nice airport when Stelios was walking up and down looking at the floor , turned out he'd dropped his boarding card and he said he wouldn't get on without it.

He ended up getting another one printed off and escorted to the front of the queue , to cries of no pushing in etc from the plebs.

Was at the wrong end of a road rage incident with a Stan Collymore near the NEC a few years back. He was driving a black Range Rover and nearly ran me off the road because he was driving too fast, and generally like a tit. I overtook him and only then saw who it was.

Much fist shaking and bad language from former Villa player and alleged girlfriend-beater as he sped up to the M42 entry slip road.

So my claim to fame: Stan Collymore called me a .

I knew Stewart Copeland's dad in the 70s. Interesting guy as he had been CIA station manager in the Middle East. Had lots of stories to tell.

I live in a house once owned by TV presenter and ghost enthusiast Yvette Fielding, and lived about 200 yards from her when I were a lad.

A few years ago now her new credit card arrived in the post even though she'd not lived here for a very long time.

Friend of mine's Dad, was in a reasonably famous 60's pop group, who was friends with John Lennon. My friend has a picture of himself as a baby next to the piano in the room used in the video for 'Imagine'.

I shared a car journey with Noel Edmonds when i was a lad. paperbag

Went to school with Gerry Raffertys daughter ( Martha ) , she was going out with a good friend of mine at the time.

For the Golfers amongst you , caddied for Charley Hull in 2012 at the Turkish Open , she was 16 and a few weeks , still an amateur and finished 4 shots off the lead at 1 under. Did the 2 practise rounds, the Pro-Am and then the 4 days of the tournament...was knackered after ! My friend that lives in Belek was caddying for Carin Koch ( just recently named as Solheim Cup Captain for 2015 ).

My soon to be ex wifes cousin is Ledley King and my sons best friends cousin is Daniel Sturridge (footballers).

Back in the 70s on Clapham Common my Dad got asked for his autograph by a couple of kids who thought he was Terry Venables - he gave it as well! Odd because he looked just like George Best back then when he had his beard.
