Passed Jo Brand on Southwold High Street. She is/was amazingly dumpy.
Used to hate her until I saw her live.
Very funny lady.

I once had a nice telephone conversation with Peter Cushing when he phoned the company up I was working for asking to purchase a PC.
And I once got stinky fingers from his great niece. Which was nice.

I'm pretty sure Cliff Richard tried to come on to me on a beach in Florida.
Hmmm. New evidence? Just what age were you at the time? From page 3 of the thread, I know...

My business partner was at the same school as Johnothan Ross, but 1 year above him, and spookily when I was at school I had a "best mate "called John Ross.

My mum was engaged to a famous "Irish" singer. Had they not split up I could have been living a life of luxury & probably called Paddy! hehe

when on a transatlantic cruise back in '09, I met stood in a queue and had a long chat with Kenny Ball, a really nice guy.
Sadly no longer with us.

Guy Martin 'works' 2 minutes from where I work, he also happens to service my dads truck. Nice guy, mad as a box of frogs apparently.

Mum and Dad were at a Round Table do at a hotel in Blackpool. While dressed as Robin Hood and Maid Marion, they got into the lift with Kenny Ball very late at night.

Some how Dad managed to swap a milk churn for a bottle of whisky with Kenny while in the lift.

No idea and dare not ask WTF was going on.drunk

Is a set of Jenson Button's speedboat spare keys tenuous enough?

While on a night out in London, my friends and I ended up at a small, intimate kind of establishment in soho, where Pamola Faith was holding her party to celebrate the release of her new single.

This was before she became as famous as she is now, so nobody really knew who she was...

We were actually asked to leave, but were allowed to finish our drinks first. Brilliant!

I'm guessing it's a little bit more upscale than the sort of thing they used to offer on Bullseye?

I might have already mentioned this on the thread already, but until I was about 2, I was best mates with the future Queen.

My parents worked with the Middletons at Heathrow, and as I was born around the same time as Kate, we were regularly being babysat by whoever wasn't on shifts at the time. My parents have a photo in my baby album of both of us hanging out naked in a paddling pool, summer of '83.

My Dad then got a job in Abu Dhabi, and the Middletons went off to Jordan, so we left the UK until about 1995. I last met Kate, Pippa and James around then at a huge barbecue at their place in Bucklebury for her parents' anniversary, I think. Pippa is around the same age as my brother, and James around the same age as my sister. We played cricket in their garden, and I remember telling them how a couple of weeks previously, Prince William had served me match tea when we played against Ludgrove.

My parents still exchange Christmas cards with Mike and Carole, although since about 2001 a lot of the "news" has been in the papers first! And no, they didn't get an invite to the Wedding. To be honest I don't think they got much say about who got invited!

Tenuous link, and I suppose he's tenuously famous, unless you are into rock music, but a new neighbour of mine is a bona fide, Kerrang! Award winning (well three K! awards, actually) Rock Star!

He was/is lead singer in a local band called Hundred Reasons, who released 4 studio albums and notched up 6 Top 40 singles. They played Sonisphere in July this year, on before the headliners, Slayer.

I think if she wasn't famous, I'd probably try and find her on facebook or something, but as it is I'm sure she has enough friends and various hangers-on to be doing with for now.

I have suggested to my parents that they exchange pictures of grandchildren with them though - although my son is around 8 months younger than Prince George.
