Ewan McGregor once sent me a tweet. Is that tenuous enough?

My boss was on a conference call with a friend in the office yesterday, and subsequently told us the person he was on the call with used to be in a band called "Bennet"

I said hello to Richard Branson at the Crystal Palace v ManUre fa cup final.

I stood next to Eddie Izzard at the CPFC v West Ham playoff final in Cardiff.

I got my leg over in 1999 in a house on Grafton Street, Hull.

This is the same street where the Housemartins used to hang out.
Led the way in that one matey. Did the biz there in 1991/2 and she asked me to move in And it was the house opposite the "Grafton Street" graffiti wall (No4 I think) And the lead singer was president of Rock Soc And Rooand Gift from the FYC used to hang around And we used to swim at the same time in the Bev Rd baths.

Never went into the Grafton drinker though. Always looked a bit "lerkal" if you get my drift.

I chatted to Liz Barker this morning (a former Blue Peter presenter though I have never seen her on TV - my children had to tell me she is a minor celeb). She lives in my village. She seems to be a nice person.

I broke Alan Titchmarsh's wrist - well he tripped over my baby carrier when I was 6 months old at Heathrow.
Met him through work a couple of times 28 years later - told me the wrist gave him hell through all the years of Groundforce.

Davina McCall's house is over the road from my office and she has tailgated me in her Q7 through the 40 limit round here countless times.

Oh and I once went to third base with Caggie from Made in Chelsea. She was chubbier back then.

Whilst we're on the subject of "supermarkets" Keith Chegwin is often seen in our local supermarket.

Beat that if you can!!! hehe
Near the off-licence section, perchance?
Surely not? After all, Cheggers can't be boozers.

My OH's brother lives in the same block of flats as someone who is doing a renovation that might appear on Grand Designs.

Kevin McCloud left only 5 minutes before he got back from work the other day - 5 minutes separating him from maybe passing Kevin in the corridor... and he is my OH's brother!

Watching a rubbish film last night (Abducted), I was reminded that my second-cousin's husband is the offspring of Jill Gascoigne (star of The Gentle Touch) and Alfred Molina (who was the CIA boss in last night's movie).

I haven't met either of them frown

That video filmed on Elgar Rd in Reading, where I shared a grotty terraced house in the late 90's, which can just about be seen in the vid!

This is true and I have a copy I can post when I get back to the office.

A few years back my right forefinger appeared in a photograph emblazoned on the front page of the San Francisco Chronicle.
Arnald Schwarzeneger filled out the rest of the photo.

Very, very tenuous link here, if any at all.

I once worked with a guy who had an astonishing resemblance to Russ Abbott.

Whenever he went on holiday, people would always assume he was him and was in town doing a gig or something.

If he denied he was Russ Abbott people would get very arsey with him and accuse him of being a miserable sod so it got to the point where he would just smile and sign the autographs to avoid the grief and abuse.

So, if you have a Russ Abbott autograph at home......
My eldest looks like Frankie from The Saturdays, before she became sensible with a baby, she would spend entire evenings out in clubs not spending a penny and playing on the likeness.
I had a brief conversation with the real Frankie. I would have bought her alcohol, but I suspect it would have been frowned upon at the time.

Sadly I can only take credit for remembering it, though I can't remember where from as it was some years ago.
