The chap who produced Only When I Laugh for Yorkshire TV used to live up the road from where my Mum lives.

Neil Ruddock and I shared a "we really shouldn't laugh so hold it in" when the bloke in front of us in Luton Airport walked into the revolving doors.... Quite a thud too....

I've driven past Jim Bowen in a traffic jam.

This on behalf of a PH mate who doesn't post much.

He has delivered parcels,to be signed for,to Leigh Francis' house....aka Keith Lemon.

His house is not as fancy as expected.

Couldn't be more tenuous if I tried smile

In about 1966, my brother was in a group (they weren't called bands then). The lads used to practise in the
conservatory at the back of our house. I remember the drummer getting in trouble. Mum shouted at him 'cos the spurs on his bass drum had scratched the step.

Said drummer became the tour drummer for 10CC, and later became the band's full time drummer.

Ladles and Jellyspoons, may I present 10CC, as snapped at Buxton Opera House last Thursday night(great gig). The drummer, Paul Burgess, is on the right, doing a bit of part-time keyboardery.

I thank you.

I saw them at Carfest ( also great gig) . He didn't once mention the step. It was as if he didn't care. Some people are just like that.

I said hello to and had my piccie taken with indie-folky singer/songwriter Frank Turner outside Koko in Camden last Tuesday.
He was stood having a quick ciggie outside before going to watch The Hold Steady.

He remembered when I mentioned it. A rollocking from my Mum wasn't to be taken lightly.

Many years ago, I was stood in front of Tom Baker (of Dr. Who fame) in a queue at McDonalds in Manchester. This was during the time he was "starring" in the TV Series Medics that was filmed at Granada in Manchester.

I met some bird on a flight to Antigua who looked vaguely familiar as she asked me for a light. Only after landing did it click. She was Antonia de Sancha, the girl who was the mistress of David Mellor and romping in his Chelsea Kit. She had been all over the papers the week before.

I am a direct decendent of Sir Richard Grenville; on my mother's side. For those who do not know your Englisg Civil War history, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sir_Richard_Grenville...

I went to school with Dominic Raab MP, going on the same bus to and from school with him for 7 years. Top bloke. His first car was a 2CV

My mum had tea with John Profumo, when she was still at school. yikes

My house was previously owned my Ian Mosely, drummer from Marillion.

Ozzie Ozbourne lived nextdoor to my parents for 6 months; renting while his new place was being done up. My Dad said he was a nice guy, but appeared wasted.

Thats enough for now wink

Mrs DWS has been doing our family tree and apparently I am, through marriage somewhere in the past, related to Lord Lucan. I kid you not. I didn't believe it either!!!

Also to Robert Boyle, of Boyle's law fame!

Obviously they are very tenuous links.

Was at a charity do a few years ago along with Danny Miller and Kirsty Leigh-Porter, both I believe were in Emmerdale....

Danny also hosted the auction on the night, as the guy who was meant to be doing it was crap. He also sold chances to have your photo taken with him with all the proceeds going to the charity. So much as these "stars" get slated, this one went out of his way to make the night a success, even though he was only there as a normal paying guest, rather than as guest of honour.
