It's not fame as such, just an interesting ancestor, but a great great...great Grandfather was hanged in Prittlewell (now Southend) for Piracy. I'm descended from pirates! Arr!

A friend once fked Gordon Burns' daughter at university. I don't know if she made him do any challenges first in order to qualify.

Also Mrs 2CV works with an ex Mr Tenerife. Not sure if he's tried to shaft her yet, successfully or otherwise.

I had Neil 'Razor' Ruddock and Dominic Matteo thrown out of my 18th party because they didn't have tickets.

Come home from school one day and there was a big black Jag parked outside my place - not a common sight on the estate I was brought up on. whistlegetmecoat

Walked into the house and Mum was making tea/coffee for a group of black chaps sitting around the kitchen table. My Dad was there too (a rare visit from the knobjockey) and all seemed jolly.

Dad soon drove off in the Jag with the group of black men.

Turns out my old man was the driver/minder/general thug for The Real Thing. laugh

My best mate at University (UCL in the mid/late 90s) was a fantastic, self-taught guitarist.
He went to audition for a uni band who were looking for a guitarist. The band loved him and offered him the gig on the spot. He slept on it but then turned them down as he didn't really like their style of music.
The band?

What is now Coldplay!

Tenuous to such an extent that we don't even know what 'famous' person the link is to.
