My brother and his mate were petting a dog and talking to who appeared to be its owner on a train up to Birmingham once. It was Tim Henmans dog, and the lady with it was a dog walker of some sort. (think he said it was a golden lab)

Continuing my marvellously tenuous links..

My great aunt's husband's sister's son was in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Life's Too Short, The League of Gentlemen and others.. (yes, there's a particular physical trait about him).. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1697773/

My mother's mother's group associate is the mother of Neve Campbell's ex husband.. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0509936/?ref_=nv_sr_1

I had an overnight stop in Tokyo once while traveling. Three of us went out to find some dinner and found a good looking restaurant based upon the picture menu out front, but the menu inside was all Japanese text with no pictures. None of us spoke any Japanese, and the waitress spoke little/no English. A man came over to help us order, then talked to us for a couple minutes afterwards. Turns out he was the main bad guy (in giant rubber suit) in the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers movie. He was there for some business meeting and showed us his portfolio before returning to his table.

I knew that chap's big sister, we had a few dates when we were about 14. She grew up to be a very nice girl in the sixth form in the girls' school next door to my school and founded her own youth theatre company, which is still very successful and thriving in Brum smile

I met Rolf Harris on a train to Manchester when I was about 11 years old. He was (and still is as far as I know) the nicest 'famous' person I've ever met. He took the time to help me draw some doodles and I've still got the framed pics on my wall.
How things seem so different 18 months on.

Met ("noticed" would be more accurate) Rich Hall in Cheiveley Services last Thursday.

Said "Hello" to Owen Teale as I recognised him from work (or so I thought). It only clicked when I saw him on the telly that night.

My wife used to work in the Moat House at Stratford and she served Lulu and Barry McGuigan. She also bumped into Victoria Wood in Woolies.

We live opposite Mr Universe's mum and dad. He pops round there quite often and we often see him in the shops.

Best of all was when we were having a meal in the orange square in Marbella. Damon Hill, his wife and his mum were on the next table. I told my seven year old son that he was to not make it obvious, but there was a Formula One world champion on the next table. He turned round and in a loud, excited voice said "MICHAEL SCHUMACHER!" Damon was not impressed.

My auntie lives next door to freddie mercurys sister, used to see him a few times in the mid 80's there, my dad had a chat over the garden fence a few times Sunday mornings. My old physics teacher was Bill clintons roommate at Oxford university in the 70's, pity no one explained the pitfalls of the sub prime mortgage to him.....

My dad delivered a horse to to a country house near Glasgow and got me the owner's autographed photo - Andy Stewart (hey, it was a big deal in the 1960s). I've still got it somewhere...

I dated a girl called Celie Byrne for a wee while when at Uni in Dundee in the late 80s - her Dad is John Byrne the famous artist who also wrote Tutti Frutti.

When I was flying to Australia in 1980 with my Mum, I joined the British Airways Junior Jet Club and got invited up to see the flight deck of the Boeing 747 we were flying in.

As I went past, Tim Brooke-Taylor of Goodies fame came out of one of the first class toilets.

I met Ian St john and Jimmy Greaves in Bratisanni's fish & chip restaurant in Edinburgh - we were in for a treat after going to see BMX Bandits at the Odeon. biggrin

My Mum met Laurel & Hardy walking along Prices St in Edinburgh when she was a little girl.

That's me done for now.

My uncle is an ex-footballer & has a stand named after him at a current Premier League club ground.

I once got into an argument with a horribly obnoxious Jude Law in Soho House, which ended up with me calling him a 'slaphead tt' & him getting me & my friends thrown out.

I've been to a barbecue in Majorca & got quite tiddly with Roman Abramovich.

Bob Carolgees had a wee in the next urinal to me on a ferry from Ireland. I asked him if he was 'spitting the dog' & he told me to fk off.

I used to have Lily Allen's mobile number, but she changed it & I haven't spoken to her since, the cow.

My mum used to go out with Denis Law.

I regularly get mistaken for the footballer Chris Iwelumo, but only in summer when I'm tanned.
