Quite a few over the years.
Went to school with danny greaves son of Jimmy
My dad was a loss assessor specialising in major fire damage. Did work for keith emerson and Bobby Moore who I got to meet.
I've ended up on the same flights as Enoch powel, hot chocolates errol brown and dave hill from slade.
In my youth I occasionally got to hang out with the band bow wow wow (original adam and the ants) and the psycobilly band the meteors.
Stirling moss was a friend of a former employer and brought one of his classic race cars into the factory on a trailer. I made a new cover for it.

Back in the 1970s, my dad was in the motor trade. One day, he brought a piston home. It was out of Richard Burton's Rolls Royce apparently.
I once walked straight through a scene being filmed on one of the platforms at Stafford station. I had no idea, I didn't spot the boom mic, or Steven Mangan, or Patrick what's him name (he was the suave rival boss in 'The Office') as I walked in between 'a bunch of people' . They had to stop filming.
I never did find out what programme it was for.

Possibly this, filming location in Staffordshire:I once walked straight through a scene being filmed on one of the platforms at Stafford station. I was given this book for my birthday.
I already had a copy, but my sister got this one signed by the man, chasing Joey Dunlop, on the cover.
His name is Ray McCullough. He WAS Ulster Road Racing in the 70s.
Having already caught and passed Phil Reid, he won the 1971 250 Ulster Grand Prix, a World
Championship round, by beating Jarno Saarinen.
He rode like this ...
As well as writing a personalized birthday greeting on the inside cover, he also signed a photo ...
This man is my hero. I got his autograph in 1975, and, a few years later, shared short circuits / road races with him for a further 5 years.
In all that time I managed to avoid speaking with him (never meet your hero, right?).
I know that I would, most definitely, not be disappointed if I met him. But I don't intend to.
'hope that's tenuous enough.

Joey Dunlop was good friends with my GF's mother.
I mean this in a jocular fashion, but I find it hard to believe that Joey was good friends with many.I sure that he must've been, but, blimey, he did walk to the beat of a different drum.
I've heard many stories of him sitting with people that he knew well, for protracted periods of time, and not uttering a single word.
'could ride a bike, though. **
