Top this one... a friend saw Michelle 'Chicken' Bass in St Albans yesterday. House prices are plummeting.

My eldest is friends with the sister of Will Kennard from Chase and Status, she has spent time whith him and been to his flat.

My eldest also went out with a guy who worked for Paul Weller, she has met him a few times.

My youngest has performed at the O2 so as far as she is concerned she has stood on the same spot as Harry Styles.

A woman at work, her son is very good friends with one of the band members from You Me At Six.

The girl who played Violet Beauregard in the original Charlie and the Chocolate factory film used to live in our house.

If anyone can remember the Ski yoghurt ads from the 70s that had the family in it, I went to school with the blonde daughter. Incredible .
biggrin This is my favourite so far. A combination of the very edge of being "famous" with the barely remembered connection. I can't recall the girl at all, but remember the song "Ski, the full of fitness food for all the familyyyyy".

Most of the other posts here I have no idea who the famous people are at all.

In 2000 I was working for a car auction collecting cars to go to auction. They were mostly company cars and I had to go to BBC television centre to pick up Dot Cottons (June Brown) company car. It was a Peugeot 405 TD estate.
Crikey, thats the very definition of 'tenuous' hehe
Thank you! Do I win?

I once overtook Niki Lauda.

He was in a powerful 7-series BMW.

I was in a tram.

He didn't stand a chance! (It was in the centre of Vienna)

Remember the 90s Weetabix ad where Clough is giving a school team a half-time pep talk and gives the kids Weetabix? My brother-in-law was one of the kids.

A quick google confirms that you are correct - good 90's advert tekkers, so to speak.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=MUheHr8GNP0 - 7 seconds in, the close up, the fella on the right - (also clearly meant to be slightly older than kids!). Now a Detective Inspector in the Met.

My friends brother was in a club in Vegas when he accidentally stepped on someones foot. The person attached to the foot turned out to be Mike Tyson. He was okay about it and got chatting. Ended up inviting my friends brother to an exclusive members only club. Might have had something to do with frends bro being an airline pilot and him having 3 female flight attendants in tow.

A guy I know at school was his nephew (apparently, wasn't verified). Lanky England footballer also went to my school, was in my brother's year.
