Watching utter ccensoredts ignore speed limits, drive with no regard for others and have it pay off in the form of squeezing through lights just about to change whilst you get stuck or speeding and beating that 40mph pain in the acensorede that turns into your direction of travel on a NSL road with no overtaking opportunities. It does make me wonder who the bigger censored is though. I never see those types get caught.

My biggest hate at the moment are people that happily speed until they get to a speed camera and then slam on their brakes. Once through, accelerate toward twice the speed limit and then brake sharply at the next camera. I'd love to be able to turn their brakes off and watch them sail through, earning a driving ban or heavy fine with maximum points. Tcensoreds!.

How absolutely shattered I am after spending last night with a kidney stone (what felt like) trying to bore straight through my left kidney with a blunt rusty teaspoon. Now that it's passed into my bladder (and I'm not looking forward to passing it!) I'm pain free but my god I'm shattered. bed before midnight is a rare occurrence for me, sometimes it's 3 or 4 AM but tonight I doubt I'd see 1am.

I know, I follow some people who are braking every 2 seconds when I have not braked once. Often this is because they are nearly attached to the bumper of the car in front and have to overreact to any change in their speed, but sometimes they do this on open roads with perfectly good visibility. I wonder if these people ever get anywhere near their car's claimed MPG. I bet they moan they keep having to get new brake pads too.
I sometimes wonder if I am the knob doing this when I drives the wife's CLK200 with the cruise control on. It is a really good cruise control system and when you head down a hill or go a tad over the cruise setting the brakes will automatically apply... wobble

or simply flicking the brake pedal to de-activate the system for a short period before hitting the resume button to re-engage and bring you to the same set speed.

Bizarrely, I find her fascinating. Tall as the Empire State Building but still wears heels. Looks gawky most of the time. But oddly attractive - as long as she keeps her gob shut.
She looks strong enough to help me carry a wardrobe up a flight of stairs...or remove a gearbox from a Ford Sierra.

I also like the scottish woman who presents the weather. She's in her early fifties, but can't help but stare at the TV. hehe
Steph and Carol in a snow bound log cabin with me.You can sweep up the dust that would be all that was left of me .(dream on )

This st:

Makes me cross. Makes me lose my rag at it. Makes me pull on the cable hard. Makes my ankle swell up after the plug strikes it (see post from Sunday).

Nothing I do seems to be able to prevent it - I give up and just accept that it'll just wind out and then wind back in to that mess.

Wind cables as a figure of eight, not in a loop. yes

All normal cruise control systems I have used do a pretty good job of maintaining the speed without being connected to the brakes. Unless you are going down a steep hill (which is not likely on most roads you would use cruise on) you would need even a little bit of power to keep the same speed.

although this is quite tame compared to some who only seem to comment in a thread about particular cars to convey their utter disgust or hatred for the particular motor.

If you don't like it, don't fking bother commenting on the thread then. Unless your being an obvious troll?

You could always take your own advice and not bother commenting. Troll.

But if the cruise control system uses the brakes to maintain the set speed, would it still illuminate the brake lights? I've never had a car with cruise control so it might sound like a daft question, but usually the brake light switch is on the brake pedal. Or do cars equipped with cruise control have some additional means of controlling the brake lights?

ETA: Sorry, this should really be 'things you always wanted to know the answer to'

People who don't know that the secret of the slip road is to use it to get up to speed, rather than trying to join 70mph traffic at 25mph and nearly causing enormous crashes.

People who order a ton of sand and have it delivered on their driveway, and then park with only the front end of their car on the drive and the back end sticking out in to the road.

People.

Bad form. Should've had his own for that purpose if he's half a tradesman. Or at least asked. No excuse there.

We can beat that. Before I met Mrs Hooli she had a builder who used the pan bit of a chippan to mix tile grout!
