Likewise, also it never bothers me when yanks say it their way, just our sellouts.
Oh, quite. I'll allow Americans to say it their way. It just annoys me when the ignorati Brits say it incorrectly the American way.

I realise that there are far more important things to be annoyed about. But it's like nails down a blackboard for me. It literally annoys me beyond reason. I claim the thread. smile

Opening a work email and seeing phrases like "itch scratching session" and "Italian flag technique"....
thought I knew most of these inane phrases, but Italian Flag Technique is a new one. Care to explain?
Now I also need to know.

I googled it,found nothing relevant, and this thread is in the top 10 hits.

People who think sidelights and fog lights is acceptable instead of just using dipped headlights.
In fog the whole point of foglights is to avoid being blinded by the glare from your own headlights reflected back from the fog, so yes, in foggy conditions, sidelights and fogs is the best way of seeing where you are going

Of course if it's not foggy, then only pillocks have their foglights on

Trying to browse the internet on a mobile phone. It's just as bad, if not worse than being on dial up. It's 2014 and there are still hardly any functional mobile optimised websites.

When there are roadworks on your side of the road, with temp traffic lights, the people who immediately move to the right as soon as the lights turn green, even if they are 300 yards back in the queue.

I know why they do it - it means they are 'committed' and have to keep going even if the lights have turned red - but it really annoys me.

Nissan Qashqais.

They're ugly, they're slow, they have a ridiculous name, they are bought by people who have no interest or enjoyment in driving them and therefore are usually driven badly, and they are absolutely everybloodywhere!

Probably not quite as bad as Nissan Micras though, especially on Sundays.

And then when you pass them in the NSL zone they take offence and flash you or keep their main beams on for a few seconds.

Trying to comment on blog posts. You click the 'add comment' box, all ready to hack away with your comment, but nope... you MUST log in with your twitter/facebook/G+ account or some other random site that you've never heard of before you can be trusted to say anything rolleyes. Well how about GO fk YOURSELF!? mad What happened to the boxes where you added your name and email yourself and it all worked just fine?

Similar thing pisses me off no end with the YT/Yahoo/google/flickR stuff as well. Can't do fk all without logging in to it all and linking all your accounts together. mad

Ah yes, when they've been overtaken is the ONLY time they drive faster than 40mph, when the accelerate and drive 0.001mm from the rear bumper of the car that dared to overtake them

Came off a roundabout on a 40 stretch near my house yesterday behind someone doing 23 mph, I gave them a hundred yards to pick up speed but still 23 mph so I overtook. Cue him flooring it up to a few feet behind me, waving his hands about and bouncing up and down, we were the only two cars on the whole stretch so I slowed down to about 15 mph and just kept waving at him in the rear view mirror.
I know it's not big or clever but watching his head nearly burst was fun. I turned off into my turning but he didn't follow.
