Washing up is SO 1930's. Like having an outside toilet, or having to fetch water from the spring. Definitely annoying beyond reason.

It's stacked neater and therefore you can get more in it smile

Completely rearranging it for a photo would have been that step too far.

And there's no room for a dishwasher frown (or any real cost justification given the amount of dishes we tend to generate)

How long the opening credits seem to go on for now - watching 'Scorpion' the other day, I'm 20 minutes into the one-hour recording (though that probably includes the first ad break) and we're still getting random names popping up on the screen. Is this to combat the other annoying habit of shrinking the closing credits so they're unreadable to allow the TV station to advertise the next programme that will be on in a minute anyway? Or just another annoying 'media-type' so-called creative idea?

And voiceovers Americanising dates. Saw the ad for the new Paddington film yesterday, it's a British story by a British writer, being advertised on British TV with a voiceover by a bloke with a British accent. So he shouldn't end it with "in cinemas November 28", it should be "28th". Or "in cinemas from the 28th of November".

They're probably wondering why you are flashing them out while still travelling at what they constitute as ramming speed.
Then you'll start annoying the traffic behind you by needlessly trying to let others out and slowing the flow. What's happening in your brain?
wrong

I have pre-judged all the conditions before determining I will flash them to let them out and leave them space and time to do so. There simply are no other variables... if in doubt I will not flash but I always leave space and always expect the unexpected

basically they have nothing else to consider other than whether I will let them out - and I do... but they still do not go

People whose debating (sic) style involves starting a post with "wrong". Especially when the person they are replying to is voicing an opinion rather than stating a fact. That annoys me beyond reason.

Jon Richardson would be proud of that. Wimmin are clueless about these things.

Drivers pushing in. No this is not a merge in turn bleat, I'm perfectly happy to merge in turn.

What I'm talking about is having 2 lanes where one is stationary traffic and one is free flowing, both lanes are clearly marked and signposted and go to different destinations. Every day I see the same selfish twits screaming down the free flowing lane and then when the lanes split cutting accross the hash marks and forcing their way in. When I have just spent the last 15 minutes sitting in the queue in the correct lane for my destination it gets a little frustrating. I am not your queing bh so please get in the correct lane at the earliest opportunity.

Obviously you missed the bit I deliberately highlighted to make it stand out. I do not have an issue with merging in turn where several lanes become fewer lanes all heading the same way. Where I do have an issue is where several lanes head different directions. There is no requirement to merge in turn.

Not sure where you're coming from. I happen to agree with your premise and only provided the link as I thought it might amuse - hence the smilie. Obviously you missed it. wink

People - seems to be mostly girls and effeminate (I think that's the right word) men who wear big black rimmed glasses as it is "cool".

No, you look like a tt. Especially when they clearly don't have a prescription on the lens.

Putting a jug in the microwave and when it stops the handle is facing the wrong way.
Someone needs to invent a laser scanning microwave that fixes this!
Time how long it takes for the turntable to do a complete cycle and only set the timer to multiples of that.

Or get one without a turntable that presumably just cooks stuff evenly without it needing to rotate.

Panasonic Inverter microwave.

No turntable, the microwave emitter does the rotating.

Next!

Not in my experience.

My old dears got a rather pricey one and it'll defrost a frozen baby meal in half the time ours will.
