People that harp on about the "bad weather", especially in social media - not to mention those that use the Daily Mail or Express as their sources.

It's bad weather. It's winter. It'll be cold.
There is no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong clothes.

People in restaurants that put salt on their food before even tasting it. Don't you think the chef might know a thing or two about seasoning food correctly? No, of course not. What does he know. Best smother it in salt from the off to prove that you know best.

'Tards.
This is nonsense, as is the habit of saying "'Tards' like an American teenager.
People have different tastes. Some people like more salt in their foods than others, so if you know you are one of them, then you will know that the chef will not have salted the food enough for your taste.
Amazed at your anger over something so commonsensical.
It annoys me that I'm annoyed by it when really I shouldn't give a toss. It's beyond reason.

Poor traffic light sequencing on roundabouts with traffic lights.

Specifically, sitting in a queue of traffic partway round the roundabout when the light is green for you, but being unable to progress because of the queue of traffic backed up from a red light further round the roundabout. Especially when you are unable to progress for 2 or 3 cycles of red, amber & green.

That annoys me beyond reason.

Agreed - big one I often cross normally has long queues no matter what direction you're going. Lights were off for a couple of months while they replaced them - much smaller queues and only in the busiest direction - lights reinstated and the queues returned frown
Yup. I observed exactly the same thing. yes

I'm sure they put them in to cause traffic & have an excuse to try & force people on to the loser cruiser.

Sales patter from sales cocks.

It immediately gets my back up when some sales cock with his pointy shoes tries to tell me something that just ain't true. Car sales cocks are the worst.

I've forgotten more than they will ever know about cars. Sales cock

Three months. The other three months you think are wasted are made from bits of Autumn and Spring.

Yes, but it can often feel quite wintry during those other seasons so we can easily be looking at about six months of winter.

While it can feel wintry for as long as you like, you can't have six months of winter.

Is this your first time dealing with a pedant? We need to be placated, threatened or proved wrong, or else we get really tiresome.
I don't enjoy being like this.

That woman isn't royalty, she just thinks she is. Her opinion isn't worth a toss.

nono "it may" not "it can". They are both correct but one is more correct than the other.

As a fellow sufferer of pedantry undergoing rehabilitation from my terrible affliction and currently in the first of twelve steps to recovery- "recognizing my problem" (due to my pursuit of perfection I'm taking this very seriously so have been on step 1 for more than 15 years now) to not point out the insignificant thing I believe needs correcting in my personal opinion is just not an option.soapbox

"Fragrance" adverts, particularly the plethora at this time of year. Not all of us have an odour that requires covering up. Not all of us are desperate enough to believe that spraying a few droplets of these substances onto our person will turn us into a bed hopping Adonis. Get. The fk. Off. Of. My. TV.

Which reminds me:

Using the word 'semantics' as defence in a discussion to slyly try and avoid admitting you don't really know what you're talking about.
