Not knowing which thread to post in about the ClarksonGate scandal.
Whichever one turbobloke isn't involved in unless you want to read the same old guff about illiberal leftie Guardianistas imposing their BBC poll tax on the oppressed white middle-class middle-aged non-global-warming-believing male a million times.People who think that you can only care about only one thing at the same time.
"I'm not going to sign the Jeremy Clarkson petition because *this* petition is far more worthy". Ok, so sign both then. D'Oh.
Same goes for people who pour scorn on you being upset that some public figure has died (in today's case, Terry Pratchett) because thousands of people are living in poverty and dying every day. Well, yes, that is a great shame but at a risk of being heartless, they haven't directly impinged on my life the same way as the public figure has and that's why I'm upset. It's human nature.

Agreed on both points "I'm not going to sign the Jeremy Clarkson petition because *this* petition is far more worthy". Ok, so sign both then. D'Oh.

The guy ahead of me in the checkout at Morrison's an hour ago.
After he'd taken ages bagging up his shopping, he then stared into space for a minute while he slowly searched his pockets for a means to pay, eventually dragging out a wallet which he then proceeded to search through for a debit card. When after a further couple of minutes he'd managed to pay, he then stood at the checkout sorting through his bags and putting his card back in his wallet etc.
While he was still sorting himself out the checkout operater had scanned and bagged my shopping, scanned my loyalty card, accepted payment, given me my change, and I had squeezed past him and left the shop.
Either he shouldn't be allowed out on his own, or he was on something
