It seems to be a recent trend on facebook that girls, instead of having their name and surname, will have their name and middle name.

Why? What could possibly be the point? Is it somehow fashionable to have 2 forenames on your profile?

Every single time I want to chat to or otherwise contact one on my friends list, I have to wade through loads of same first names instead of directly searching for a surname. Not to mention every time something by one of them comes up on my news feed, I have at least 10 seconds to "huh?" before I work out who the hell it is

TV presenters who, despite having a sensitive microphone positioned a few millimetres from their mouths, still feel it necessary to shout to be heard. As most who do this are female it results in their voices coming across as a horrible screech - women simply seem incapable of increasing volume without their voices becoming strident screeching.

( observation prompted by watching Eurovision tonight )

Most of my friends who do this are people who give their name out with work but dont want to be found - teachers, doctors, lawyers etc.

And backed up by Harriet Harmon when she used to stand in for Miliband at PMQs.

Jeans with button flies. Just what is wrong with a zip? Not the first time I've bought a pair by mistake and had to take them back. Hateful things.

People who use the phrase "nomnomnom" on social media when talking about food. Stop it, it just makes you sound like a cretin. I doubt that anyone actually says it in the real world but if they did, they would deserve their face planted in their dinner.

My Android phone deciding today to simply uninstall several apps that I use almost every day. That rather annoyed me, especially since I had to re-download and re-install them over my mobile data plan as I needed them urgently and wasn't in range of a friendly Wi-Fi.

When you're out on the road carrying out some basic maintenance /bodge on the car, which involves having a front wheel off, and then having to pop in the house to double check something, and then on your return, find that a neighbour further up the road has decided to wash his car, thus creating a fast flowing stream where you were lying minutes earlier.

That's a bit annoying.

Probably tempting fate here but in 40years of wearing jeans and trousers I've never had a dangerous incident with a zip nor had a zip jam. Button flies just seem a bit of a faff to me.
