Windows applications that when loading up leap to the top and become the active screen, not useful when I am typing in another application.

People (usually with a big queue behind them) who get just in through a train door, then stop and look confused about where they are. While everyone behind them is stuck on the platform waiting for them to wake up.
This really fks me off when the train is busy and unless you are quick you won't get a seat. Slow enters carriage, stops, looks at seat, slowly moves towards seat. While everyone else who isn't stop behind this bd nabs all the seats. You get to stand, wishing you had followed the gut instinct to barge slow out the way from the outset.

I've been working in London too long.

Postman Pat SDS. This morning's was a prime example: he's always late, always demonstrating a risk of damage to the delivery and, on this occasion, shipping the wrong thing initially. The customer is always stressed about when they're package is going to arrive and calling up the main office for Ben to apologise profusely, but when Pat turns up he's greeted like a fking hero. It really pisses me off! Cretinous oiks.

So, like real life then? wink

At least it's stop motion - have you seen Fireman Sam lately? (My son loves it so I get to see it a LOT)

"Trending"

Every time I check my junk folder there are emails from Facebook to let me know that various people I've never heard of are trending.

I don't know what trending means in this context (or any context for that matter), and don't want to know.

Maybe you should turn off notifications for things that you don't want to be notified about? smile

You misunderstand. I'm not asking for solutions, I am telling you what annoys me.

You misunderstand. I'm not giving solutions. I'm just amused at you being annoyed about receiving notifications that you asked to receive*. wink

(* - or, rather, failed to turn off as they were on by default. I guess it's pretty annoying that they are on by default - so I'll give you that)

It reminds me of the old joke
Patient: "Doctor! Doctor! It hurts every time I do this.... (ARGHHH)"
Doctor: "Well don't do that then"

biggrin

You still misunderstand. It's not the notifications that annoy me, it's the word 'trending' and the concept of trending that annoys me, and I'm telling you about it. I trust that doesn't annoy you, but if it does I will just have to live with the guilt.

Clichés that do exactly what they say on the tin, are not rocket science or brain surgery, and which don't require any thought at all from those who use them. Simples.

Have a nice day.

Odd one this. The "beep beep" when the microwave has finished. I know it does this and it's quite normal.

BUT when I open the door at zero seconds it still has to go though its beep beep warning. Opening the door should create an override and shut it up but oh no!

Yeah, I've noticed this too. But if you hit the cancel button then it shuts up (or if you hit it at 1 sec to go then it never starts), then open the door. That's always been my workaround for the issue anyway.

On the subject of microwaves, mine will continue to keep food warm if you don't take it out within about 10 seconds of the end, making a hell of a racket in the process. I put the food in for the correct time knowing I would be leaving it to cool after. Why does it not know this?

Android L notifications swapping position just as I'm swiping to remove so the wrong one is removed. The one I either didn't read or wanted to keep.

The reason they have a bleep, bleep, bleep is not only to tell you its finished but also its the time to safely open the door and not be hit by microwaves wink
